The LoA are tasked, by the UP, with tracking down Wonder Girl, to offer her membership. Behind the scenes, there are those who consider Wonder Girl to be an uncontrollable menace.

Wonder Boy is particularly pleased with this mission. His intelligence agent past is revealed as he looks ahead to securing a post with the ICC. In light of the new line-up, Rond wonders if he could ever join the group as a full member.

The UP are even more concerned, as Wonder Girl's activities are beginning to centre around experimental testing sites in the Mediterranean. Wonder Girl (in her own mag) has embarked upon a series of trials as a part of a deity-led quest to remove the Fury part of her persona.

The LoA receive reports of Wonder Girl's location, after a battle with a robotic informer. But the information is a trap, and the team find themselves the victims of The Vision and his half human Half-Lifes.

The Vision was once a self-proclaimed criminal mastermind called Tharok. He tried to steal a Universo device from a secure facility on Zadron. Tharok was terribly injured when a stray blast triggered the device. He was saved by the Coluan leader of the Zadron facility. Unhinged upon seeing his new features, Tharok declared "Look at me! I'm quite a sight! Quite a vision!" He would taunt law enforcement that he "had a vision of the future, without their involvement."

Later, only Dawn Frank would wonder about exactly why the UP was inviting other worlds access to the Universo technology.

The Vision has followed Zadronian representatives to a UP facility on Earth, that he now controls, changing the personnel to parodies of his new form.

Elsewhere, Wonder Girl uncovers the headquarters of the Cult of Rammanu, where she battles their champion, a bull headed humanoid, who she believes to be a minotaur.

At the finale of both battles, Wonder Girl destroys both Minotaur and the Cult, while The Vision jettisons the LoA away from the UP facility, as he makes his own escape.

Wonder Girl and the LoA don't cross paths in the story. At its end (and as per her own mag) Wonder Girl is much more in control of her enraged personal, and now heads off into the world as Miss Fury.

[Editor's Note: The Avengers tried to track down the Hulk to offer membership,. They ended up battling Mole Man and Minotaur, while the Hulk battled the Leader not far away.]

Wonder Boy is aware he still has to find a purpose in his new world. He hopes that the LoA's recent missions will bring him to the attention of Major "Hawkeye" Hawke, of the ICC.

Elsewhere Biron works on enchantments, learned from long centuries watching Circe, on his arrows.

The LoA are sent to Braal by the UP to end the malign influence that is resulting in civil unrest against the government there. The LoA are told that infiltrators have taken advantage of the recent evacuation of the Sol system, due to the Sun Devourer, to start riots.

In investigating, they discover that the rioters have been infiltrated by a growing organisation in the UP, The Circle. They battle mobs to uncover the Braalian behind the riots. But in trying to capture her, they face the group of Circle operatives on the planet. They are backed by a large red humanoid with a white circle on it's featureless face: The Red Giant. It's stellar based strength nearly defeats the team, who encounter it singly at first. The White Widow is key to discovering that their foe was only partially organic and in destroying it.

The team depart, with the planets mining operations back into full production. A victory for the UP and the mine owners. Not so much for the population that work for them whose ideals were usurped by The Circle.

Blue probe beings have become the indispensable servants of humanity as it reaches across the galaxy, regardless of the impact on the human settlers whose jobs they are replacing. However, there are signs of malfunctions in some of these units.

Elsewhere, another result of mankind's expansion can be seen: war against the alien civilisations it encounters. A summit meeting has been called to broker a peace accord between the UP and The Dominators. No man has seen a Dominator, who work through proxy races and biologically constructed craft. The LoA are shown a recent brutal battle between the two races, as they are tasked with escorting UP diplomats to the peace meeting.

The LoA is split, with Tornado Boy, Wonder Boy and White Widow escorting the diplomats, while Biron and Tornado Girl travel to the main manufacturing planet on Zuun, where the probes are constructed.

On Zuun, the LoA are directed by the plant's chief executive, Londo, to tackle a small insurgent group. The LoA discover these to be indigenous people, who are led by Kid Cavalier.

Across the UP, the probe malfunctions begin to be serious with coordinated attacks on key UP facilities and personnel. Larger Alpha Probes are seen in the increasing attacks.

On an undisclosed fringe world, the UP contingent travel by foot to the meeting. They are seemingly attacked by one of their own party, as they camp. The intruder defeats the on-guard Tornado Boy and is poised to destroy the UP group, when 3 blue skinned aliens appear from the mist: The Dominators have arrived!

[Editors Notes: The Swordsman seeks to join the Avengers to further his criminal enterprises. The Dominators were originally blue with superhuman strength.]

In the chaos of the arriving Dominator contingent, the intruder seems to switch his form to maximise the confusion he can cause.

Elsewhere, across the UP, the blue probes increase and focus their attacks on UP personnel and military targets, led by the Alpha Probes.

The LoA on Zuun discover that Kid Cavalier's group seek to stop the ongoing culling of their species. Their flexible, tentacled forms are harvested for raw materials in the manufacture of the probes.

The intruder is captured, by Wonder Boy and a Dominator. The Dominators exhibit superhuman strength and resilience, and reveal they are the product of enforced evolution over millennia. The intruder is revealed to be the Durlan Chameleon Chief. Under some duress, the Chameleon Chief reveals that he is an agent of UP forces that do not want and end to the war. He seemingly dies before revealing any further information.

As the UP group hope that they will now be able to attend the negotiations, the Dominators tell them that the Chameleon Chief was not the only one who wishes the war to continue. They reveal that it is no coincidence that the probes are also blue. They also contain Dominator genetic material The plant on Zuun has been infiltrated by them and their superior genetic knowledge.

The Dominators depart, with the UP probes, brought for administrative and heavy lifting duties attacking the LoA and delegates.

On Earth, the chambers of the main UP complex are invaded by Alpha Probes.

On Zuun, Biron, Tornado Girl have invited Kid Cavalier to join them. With his past attacks with Mask Man cleared up, the invitation may be a lasting one. At the facility they face Londo, guards (indistinguishable from UP ones with the peace accord delegates) and a group of Alpha Probes.

As he sabotages his facility, Londo boasts that he has harnessed the Dominator's techniques. He will create stronger forms, humans better equipped to deal with harsh new galactic environments. He claims that his own family have been subjected to his experiments.

Wonder Boy's delegation defeat their foes, but Chameleon Chief has vanished into the mists. They find they have no way of contacting their colleagues.

Kid Cavalier's blade seems to change the control of the Alpha Probes against their leader, imbuing their forms with the spirits of long dead knights.

Tornado Girl and Biron attack Londo on his escaping hover platform, shouting at Kid Cavalier to come with them. But Cavalier sees the core of the facility about to meltdown, in a blast that would destroy many of his world's inhabitants.

In the finale Kid Cavalier sacrifices himself to shut down the core. The plant still explodes, but with conventional, limited force. With the central control plant shut down, the threat of the probes also ends.

Back on Earth, battered Up forces and LoA reveal that Kid Cavalier's body wasn't found, as they grant him honorary membership in their group.

At an unspecified future point, a hunted human in battered combat gear flees the noise of battle, entering the eerie quiet of a calm glade. The man rests at the edge of a central, still, lake, shutting out the comms asking him his location. His name is Witt. He begins to close his fatigued eyes, but sees movement in the lake. As he pauses for breath, he sees a sword emerge from the waters, held aloft by a female arm. The future...
