I've been aware of the Legion for as long as I've been reading comics but for a long time my only true exposure to them had been through their appearances in the old JLofA series, DCCP, B&B and Crisis. A friend lent me about half of the TMK era which I enjoyed and was impressed with but since I didn't know my Drake Borroughs' from my Tenzil Kems back then (let alone my Circadia Senius' from my Marte Allons), a lot of it went over my head. I need to finally fill the gaps in my collection of that era so I can at last read it and understand exactly what was going on now.

But the first Legion comic I actually bought, and marked the beginning of my romance with the team, was Legionnaires #1 (the SW6 era). After that I tracked down the entire S&LSH and LSH eras and most of the Baxter era (haven't read past #49 of that series) and I would say I have about 30-40 scattered issues of the Adventure era in my collection. I of course have the whole Preboot era, which I love, and the first 15 or so issues of the Threeboot, which I hate.

Other than the Postboot, my favorite era would probably be the Adventure era. I love the sheer color and creativity of that era, as well as it's innocence and retrospective charm. Though the others are great too.

It's funny you mentioning not liking Rokk or Lyle so much anymore, because when I was compiling my Top 30 list it made me realize which characters I've fallen out of love with.

For example, along with Gim, my first fave character on the team was Salu. Now she probably wouldn't even be in my Top 50. I'm one of the few who preferred her pre-Baxter era personality and I can also never forgive the Postboot version for killing Gim and stealing his powers.

Tenzil was probably one of my top 5 characters in the SW6 era but it's been sooo long since he's appeared significantly I can't remember what I used to like about him now.

Others that used to be big faves but that don't resonate with me as much anymore - Jo, Tinya, Dawnstar, Jazmin...

But wow! Your aunt must have had a great collection! Did she have the Adventure era in singles or in the Archives? I was trying to fill my collection with singles from that era but it's too difficult/expensive. I think I'm just gonna have to go the Archives route (unless they release a Legion Chronicles soon - that would be great!)
