Yeah, pretty much my thoughts as well. While I'll hand it to the Moys that they did a good job of making Kirk, Spock and McCoy look like the actors who portrayed them, there work just wasn't appropo for this series.
Too bad someone didn't get this idea back in 1972 -- when Dave Cockrum would have made this a graphic spectacular!
