Geez, it's not even a full fledged planet. It's Pluto, with people.

Could Braino have been the last descendent of super-noble people Lar Gand sent to Myrnah, if everyone else is now powerless?
According to the DC Comics Database, "Thanar is one of the Buffer Planets seeded by Mon-El, after the Dominator Invasion! of Earth. The planet was settled between Dominion space and Earth to prevent any future attacks."
So essentially, the Mineral People are canon fodder for any Dominion incursions into U.P. space?

Yeah, I think the whole idea was that if the Dominators ever wanted to invade Earth again, they'd have to go through a bunch of planets full of people who could turn into stone statues or consistently give birth to twins and stuff.
Er... maybe it wasn't the best defense plan ever.
