{/Lurch ON} You rang? {/Lurch OFF} {g} ... good taste all around on your part with Perez, and some color adept at LegionPics (I think) shares it for Dawny. Click for a larger, uncropped version.
I'd also like to see Perez's take on her against a canyon or lush valley setting. It'd be easier to see her hair, certainly (a frequent loss against starscapes), and it would have a greater feeling of flight in some ways, with a terrestrial scale for what's behind her.

This is my own choice for an overlooked source of poster art. It's largely missed as a group portrait because it appeared in the middle of "Who's Who in the LSH" 2, at the end of a two-part narrative history of the Legion. Dave Hoover probably drew this -- the credits aren't clear -- and it suffers from the newsprint reproduction. This is the only place where Dawny carries the Legion flag ...

That Giffen picture really would make a nice poster. I wonder who has the original art? Bet it's hanging on somebody's wall.
Tellus did have a different symbol, it's in Who's Who # 1 along with the rest of the Legion in the back. Pretty much the same thing, except instead of eyebrows it has bubbles drifting upward.
