Things I'm looking forward to: Satan Girl! Alaktor! Sun Woman! The Puppet Planetoid!! Mystery Raiders! The Mount Rushmore of Space!
You got it, EDE! I've already done all the sketchin' now it's time to scan, decide on coloring (or not coloring) and posting. I think because the Monsters really *should* be in color, they'll take longer to finish. Once that's done, though, the rest should come through in a flood...

Thanks for the nice words!
I'm trying to get all costuming and characteristics done correctly, so hopefully, it won't steer you wrong if you use my work as reference.

In Adv. #310, the Legion faced MASK MAN, who was actually Mr. MXYZPTLK 5! Along the way, Vi was on Doll World, and came across AK ARU, one of Mask Man's victims.
Not the best plot description, but y'know, I'm more about the pictures...
The robot at top left is the Subs' Defensive Robot. The Subs came to think of it as being rather "primitive" when compared to the device shown at top right, the "Force Vortex." The FV is capable of no less than "destroying anything." (!)
The "monstrous machine" at the bottom of the page was used to attack the Subs.
The aliens in the middle of the page are the natives of Zyzan. Their motive was to strip the Earth of it's rare ores, but they were defeated by the mighty Legion of Substitute Heroes!

Adv 312 was the story where Lightning Lad was revived from the dead. Tarocs give birth to a new body when their old one dies. Those space serpents attacked the Interplanetary Post Office. The androids shown below were used to test the way the Legion ultimately revived LL. I dunno. I wouldn't trust something that worked on an adroid to do the same on a human. That just shows the courage of the Legionnaires!
