This thread continues from the Legion World HOT 100--2011 edition.
Why launch a new thread? To make it easier to find previous Hot 100 charts by grouping them year by year. My thinking is that some LW scholar of the future might be interested in analyzing or perusing the chart trends of the board, and the charts themselves sometimes get buried in the pages of discussion that follow. (Not that discussing the chart is a bad thing . . .)
For those of you just joining us, the premise is simple: The Legion World HOT 100, modeled loosely after various music charts, ranks the top 100 posters on Legion World in terms of post counts. It also monitors who's moving up and down the chart ("who's hot and who's not" in chart lingo).
The HOT 100 is compiled and shared every month just for fun. No one should post on Legion World merely to increase his or her post count or move up the chart. If that's your raison d'etre for posting here, get a life.
The first number on the left of the chart denotes each poster's current position. The next number (in parenthesis) shows last month's position, if different.
Following each poster's name is his or her total post count since the dawn of Legion World and the increase of posts since last month.
Enjoy!

This is all very nice, but I still wish OM would come back. Either that, or we have all the mods draw lots to see who inherits the Pestering With Inane Questions thread.

Yeah, I noticed that, too, Reboot. I don't have the time (or desire, really) to look back and see if 59 percent indicates a trend, but if someone else wants to, I've made it easy for ya.

Perfect!
I remain comfortably in the top 40, but not so high up in the top 40 that my fans will think that I've sold out and gone mainstream, so I can maintain my independent alternative-rock cachet!

I've never calculated averages for the Hot 100 before, but I was curious to see what they would look like for this month.
If we include just the 59 posters who posted at least once this month, the averages turn out this way:
mean: 70.93 median: 28 mode: 1 range: 413
Here are the averages of the entire Hot 100:
mean: 41.85 median: 3 mode: 0 range: 414
