"Grep" programs can search multiple files (binary or text) to do search and replace operations, or can do several of them at once, or both. Programmers use them to make sure that multiple or linked changes are all made.
They make the job less tedious, especially if you have to do the same search-and-replace in many different message-archive files, as I suspect you'd need to do here.
I'll look for a newer Grep shareware utility -- the powerful one I've used runs under DOS -- and will let you know when I've found one.

This has been officially postponed due to technical difficulties and timing. It appears that UBB's are very specific and not all servers can accommodate it.

Any additional progress on a new server? I'd agree that a host should be found to conform with your software, not the other way around.
