Here's a game I ran a few years ago on one of the Legion mailing lists. We had fun with it then, so I thought I'd give it another go now that I have just joined LegionWorld.net!
Here's the set up this time: Xanthu has been rebuilt and plans to resume its annual Planetary Champion contest. To honor Xanthu's perseverance, Legionnaires and another heroes, wannabees, and even Legion applicants picked from the timeline before they went bad, have descended on Xanthu from across the many worlds, universes, and timelines.
This assemblage of 200 heroes has been randomly divided into four groups using the awesome powers of the Planetary Chance Machine (in this case, my wife pulling names from a hat). The PCM was again used to create random match-ups.
These heroes will battle each other in a single elimination tournament until we reach a final four, and then finally one new Planetary Champion of Xanthu!
For these battles, assume the combatants must remain in the arena, or the air space immediately overhead. All characters are the current universe versions unless otherwise noted or else thus far unseen in the reboot.
Simply send me your picks in each match-up, either here on the board or by private message or e-mail. I'll tally the votes and make the cuts for the next round.

Thanks. It's all luck of the draw though, as I litterally had my wife draw names from a hat. She has grudgingly tolerated my comics collecting habit for years, and has heard me mention the Legion, so she is a least vaugely aware of the whole Boy/Girl/Lad/Lass thing. Still, watching her reaction as she read off some of the names has pretty funny.

True. I was working on the theory that, as the Triads have three distinct personalaties, PP woulc have to concentre on maintaining three seperate illusions to prey on the fears of each. The task would be too taxing, espcially against someone who is prepared for her illusions and can quickly take her out with a little tri-jitsu.

Possibly, if my memory is failing me. I seem to recall that fans called him Reflecto, but that he actually used Repulse, when he actually used a code name, in the books
