The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this pairing was the fight between Violet and Roxxas in that White Triangle story. Violet entered the Daxamite's eardrum giving him vertigo. Why not? What's a tourny without some upsets?

The only real threat to EDE is, imo, Lester and his army of space-lawyers. Incidentally, that's why I voted for Spiffany over the M'Onelves.

Round one of The Battle for the Championship of the 30th Century ends at midnight tonight. At this time, twelve Judges have casts their decisions, leaving us with several fights that are deadlocked. We require at least one more judge to weigh in before this Round closes in (see the full list of scheduled fights in post #1 of this thread) order to break these ties. Otherwise, the Xanthusian High Council will be forced to employ the awsome might of the Planetary Chance Machine.

Just thought I'd comment on the close races.
Blok [6] vs. Leviathan (Gim) [6]
--I figured this would be a close one. I just figured in what would be a test of strength you had to give it to someone with THAT great a size advantage.
Repulse [6] vs. Rainbow Girl [6]
--I really just kind of randomly picked on this one. Doesn't Rainbow Girl have some kind of pheremone powers, though? I would think that would give her the advantage.
Quake Kid [6] vs. Xera [6]
--I thought a lot about this one, as well. They both are essential characters with elemental powers, but Xera seems a lot more powerful. One should never doubt QK's ability to distract opponents by putting the mack on them, however...
Karate Kid (Myg) [6] vs. Nightwind [6]
--Of the two "should-have-been-Legionnaires", I think I went with Nightwind for no better reason than that I liked her better.
Impulse (Bart) [6] vs. Nara Minsork [6]
--Nara got my vote just 'cos she's someone I'd like to see more of... uh, I mean, see again some time...

--I don't remember who Energax is.

--I agree that Espy would give Taryn a run for her money, but Cal is one of the most resourceful girls around.

Voting is now closed for Round One. Since we had no additional voters, a bi-facial nickel alloy plated random chance generator has been used to determine winners of the deadlocked contests.
Sharp eyed players with a 12th level intelligence will note that, as each grouping consisted initially of 25 match-up, we are left with an odd number of winners. How to resolve this dilema?
Choice A: give one of the winners a bye in Round Two Choice B: Allow one of the losers to advance into Round Two.
Using the b.f.n.a.p.r.c.g the Xanthusian High Council has dtermined that Choice B shall be the preferred method. Advancing losers will be determined using the Planetary Chance Machine (again, that's names drawn from a hat to you)
In an effot to hold player's interest, the PCM will be used to remix combatants in each group for each round. That way no one will be able to cypher out in advance who will face who.
