does Shooter read this board? if so, I think I may have a no-prize coming. Gazelle is working for a new U.P. sponsored gang,er, group of powered teens. she doesn't look alien at all. in fact in this issue she looks like a generic hot girl(think cw teen drama)
lots of good sight and verbal gags from Cham. he hits on a bird, I think he's lonely.
the autopsy or is that necropsy?, doesn't go well.
I think Projectra is possessed. and the scene in the square as a rather funny resolution.
M'Rissey is way to smart and sneaky for his own good.
lastly more underwear shots and more implied Legion after dark.
long live legion(this version anyway)

This was another fantastic issue. Aaron Lopresti did a surprisingly good job of standing in for Francis.
I'm disappointed to see M'Rissey using his powers for evil purposes. Hopefully he's doing this as a way of secretly helping the Legion somehow.
I think the Legion will soon be fighting a battle on two fronts -- against the alien destroyers and against those interfering, tyrannical bureaucrats who are running the UP. If I recall correctly, during Mark's run, Brainy let it slip that he thought the Legion should take over the United Planets government. That doesn't seem like such a bad idea now.
Cham's interaction with the bird seems a bit odd, given that we've been told he doesn't go for fixed-state lifeforms. Was the bird also a Durlan?

Great!! Anymore of Lightning Lad in undies??
Ultra Boy...
And Hussy Saturn Girl is back. I always knew she was into that kind of stuff.
As for Cham and the bird, I thought he was joking, talking to the bird because the team doesn't understand him.

the stuff about the ring was interesting. however, the pseudo-science was kept to a minimum. for example it just stated that the ring splits with Triplicate Girl, but it didn't say how. other than it just does. or as Lucy Lawless said to the comic book convention, "A wizard did it".

I am really looking forward to the progress with Jeckie. I agree with the above poster who thinks she might be possessed but some part of me thinks its setting her up to be the new Emerald Empress or a close incarnation. The loss of the homeworld the extremely haughty nature the clinging to a title that really isn't your due to political forces. Its there, or my sleeping pill is making me see things that aren't there or overthink it. LOVED the Light Lass/Ultra boy bit and Saturn Girl is pretty interesting this go round, I actually kinda like her, which I haven't been able to say since the Universo Project.

I remember that back in issue 3, Trip complained that her ring didn't triplicate with her. Brainy must have fixed that behind the scenes.

I liked the artwork WAY better than Manapul's. Can we make this guy the new Legion artist? Please?
The dozens of future swear words are really distracting and annoying. 2 or 3 would be sufficient I think. Let's see, we've got the D word, the H word, the S word, and the F word. What else do you need?
The artwork in the info section at the back was so bad I couldn't bring myself to read the text.
I also picked up DC Universe #0 (or whatever it's called) for a mere 50˘ mostly just to get the gorgeous 2 page spread of Superman and that OTHER Legion fighting a horde of shadow demon thingies.

what did you like about the new art?
I thought it was okay, but it didn't look as clean as Manapul's. also, Gazelle did not look like her usual alien self, which even if you don't care for the character, was a major mistake. I realize an artist can't exactly duplicate another's work, but to go from alien looking(check out her first appearance) to looking like generic human was a bad moment.
the ring pages art was a bit of a step down from the fill in work, but given all the text boxes, I have the feeling they put in the art to prevent it from being total text. if that happened people would be saying, "hey, it's a comic book, not a novel, where are the pictures!"

The art was okay though I thought it looked a little down from what I remember of his work. Probably the having to reference more than a dozen characters and the time constraints impacted it. He'll be dynamite on Wonder Woman I'm sure.
Yeah I noticed the unalienization of Triton Lass as well. I know some artists have trouble with aliens but that was an extreme case for sure. The inker and colorist should have stepped in and at least painted the big eyes in at least.

Oh, yeah. It was nice to see Invisible Kid go on a real live stealth mission. It seems like it's been forever since he did anything but pull pranks and spy on his fellow heroes and disappear to follow a crush, etc. He acquitted himself quite well against the monster too, for a Legionnaire with a "run and hide power", Mr. T. Wolf.
