Okay, so it's a kiddie book just like the 'toon is a kiddie-toon.
What do I care, I love 'em both.
TEEN TITANS GO! #s 1 & 2 were well worth my money, I'm glad I picked 'em up. I'd missed Todd N's art since YOUNG JUSTICE ended... I love the visual gags that run accross the bottom of the pages, too.
So far, the book does a better job at balancing Robin with the rest of his teammates than the 'toon does.

I didn't like it that much. Love the cartoon but felt the comic was "trying too hard" to be funny. Just not my cuppa.

I'm surprised at how much I like the Teen Titans cartoon. I thought it was blasphemy at first, but when I actually saw it, I came out of my self-centered shell and realized that it was for kids, not adults who grew up on the Titans twenty years ago. When those kids get older, more of them will know the Titans from the cartoon than from any version of the comic. Isn't that weird?
As for the comic book version of the cartoon... well, the cartoon is free....

Lash, if you like Todd N's stuff, check out WILDGUARD! It's currently on issue #4 and the art is vintage Todd!
I've only seen one or two episodes of the TT cartoon and liked it well enough. I'm also enjoying the book, although I don't know if it'll go on my regular pull list. I'll probably just end up buying the individual issues that I like.
There are a lot of little things that I find appealing about the book, such as the visual gags on the bottom of the page. Plus, the looks on the TTs' faces on the last page of issue #2 were priceless.

[grumpy old man] In the old days, we didn't have any fancy-schmancy ".wav files." We had to record our themes on a plastic cassette tape and we liked it that way, goldurn it! [/grumpy old man]

Pick it up, any issue drawn by Todd Nauck in particular. The series and comic have been good fun. Last week's episode with Robin forced into taking Killer Moth's daughter to her prom was a hoot!

I highly recommend both the toon and the comic. If it weren't for the toon, I wouldn't be reading the new "DC continuity" TT book right now, since it got me hooked on the Titans

Well I don't read the book yet, but maybe I'll pick up the latest issue (if Robin asks Killer Moth's daughter to the Prom, how can I resist?).
But I have seen the cartoon. Here is my initial reaction: Beast Boy? Ick! Cyborg? Ugh! Theme song? Aw, that sucks! Raven? WHOA!!! Hold the Phone! I like this series!
I think the way they write Raven on the cartoon is hysterical, and I love it! While I hated everything else at first, Raven was funny enough to make me want to watch it, and got me to enjoy it! Her deadpan humor is set perfectly against everyone else's wackiness. After being drawn in by Raven, I've come to enjoy Robin (easily) and then Starfire (a bit harder), and Vic too. It's silly, but it grows on you, especially after Raven drew me in.
I'll get back to you guys on the comic

Um, Cobalt, the Killer Moth/Prom story was from this past Saturday's episode of the cartoon, not the latest comic...
