Legion of Substitue Super-Heroes #3, by Millar and Hitch! Beginnings, Part 3! Matter-Eater Lad assembles a team, as the sexual sadist Grimbor the Chainsmen tortures Chlorophyll Lad and Fire Lad! Plus the Khunds! Also this issue: Night Girl drops a big revelation, and a hero makes the ultimate sacrifice!
For May:
Legion of Substitute Super-Heroes #4 by Millar and Hitch! The team deals with the death of Fire Lad last issue, and takes some down time. Plus, more on the Khundian menace and Night Girl coming out of the closet. Also, the team becomes divided as Tenzil and Polar Boy vie for leadership!

Issue #6-by Millar, Hitch and Byrne! "Double-Header". The tale of Subs recruit Double-Header, as Polar Boy calls in the mysterious Double-Header to work against Tenzil in the Subs! However, Drura and Chlorophyll Lad, both whom have fallen in love with Tenzil, find out and send him to the cell of Grimbor the Chainsmen! He is then brutally tortured and murdered in one of the most horrific series of panels ever! Joe Queseda says "if this doesn't get an Eisner, I don't know what will", and he's not even working for DC! Buy it now before it sells out!

Check out this interview with Mark Millar on www.pornisart.net ! He says:
"We've decided to just do away with the whole numbers thing anyway for the Subs series. It just seems like such a 20th century thing and now we're in the 21st. I like to think of my stories as a puzzle, something beyond linear. Something fun, for the family, especially for horny teenagers in the family, ya know? And for pot-heads too, they're pretty cool."
Wow, Millar is just so right! Numbers suck anyway! I guess Subs #9 and #10 are just latest Subs and even newer Subs now!

Tenzil joins Drura on Khundia and pronounces her the greatest hero of all time! Yet, Stone Boy is having trouble dealing with mass genocide! He finally confronts the rest of the Subs, but do they have the conscious that he does? Plus, Evillo and the Devil's Dozen! And what is the connection between Omega and Chlorophyll Kid? Only by Millar, Hitch or Byrne!
