...woke up to the chirp, chirp, chirp of the battery to a smoke alarm going out. Realized it was on the ceiling in the living room - the living room with the 20 foot cathedral ceiling. Realized that I didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach it. Went to the hardware store in my Honda, Accord hoping to find a collapsable ladder that would fit in the Honda. Realized I didn't want to pay $255 for a collapsable ladder. Went home and found a tree trimmer guy on Craigslist. Called him up and asked if he could come over with his ladder. Agreed to pay him 25 bucks. Waited two hours for him to show up. Got the battery changed. Still trying to get the dogs settled down.

So if my favorite tea du jour is "pine smoked" Russian tea, I should embrace my true destiny of being a logger who runs a bbq food cart on the side?
