Both Brainiac 5 and Lightning Lad had nervous break downs in the Levitz era. Brainy's lead to the creation of Omega and Lightning Lad's lead to his resigning as leader.

Gotta go with the classic: Mordru's first app where they were hiding from him in Smallville with Kal & Lar. Perhaps Lu's best scene ever: the tunnel panel.

Star Boy and Duo Damsel
Both were forced out of the Legion because of prohibitions in the Legion Constitution. Starboy for killing someone in self defense and Duo Damsel for getting married. Both prohibitions were later changed.

I'll take it! Both were the two Legionnaires probably most responsible in defeating Mordru in the Earthwar. Superboy by using his super-speed to form that big bubble around the Legion and fly them away from Mordru, and Element lad for coming up with idea of using his power (in combo with Brainy's knowledge) to create earth from free-floating atoms in space and "entomb" Mordru where in supposedly was impossible.

M'onel and Sun Boy: Both ended up working for a corrupted earth government after the Legion was disbanded (and later got shot for their troubles).

Well, it would have to be post-boot for actual scenes together, but I can go with the obvious. The only(?) two Legionaires to wear helmets, not counting Tenzil's hair.

Both the White Witch and Chamelon Boy were experiencing "personal trials" AT THE SAME TIME. Mysa was trying to prove herself on her first mission as a Legionnaire on Asteroiid 73-Q. Cham was hoping to remain a Legionnaire by attempting to regain his lost shape-shifting powers, with the help of his Dad...R.J. Brande.
Both were students at the Legion Academy at the same time. I remember a scene from an issue after the fireballing incident where Pol and Rokk's mom was killed, where Pol was explaining to Grev why he decided to become a hero. And as for Sun Boy and Ultra Boy, I know that postboot Ultra Boy and Dirk Morgna were the most hostile to Dragonmage after the battle with the Elementals.
