I'm a month behind but wanted to chime in to say #0 was pretty weak in my opinion. As an origin story for Buddy it's about the worst one ever.
The problem here, as with Swamp Thing, are the two series have dragged out so long that I'm bored to tears. I not only don't care about the Rot, I'm bored with the Green and the Red. It's time to give me a story that makes me care about the leads and its time for these writers to show me they can do more than rehash old 80's ideas.

Haven't read the zero issues yet, but I must say, having just read the twelves, that the Rotworld prequels in those issues were pretty decent reads. They made it a little more likely that I might go back and get the number thirteens on a future visit. There's some forward momentum, and it was good to both see Buddy and Alec finally together and the story leaving them set up in the Rot-overridden future that's been teased so long.
I wish it hadn't taken them so damned long to get here!
