Welcome to the LSV Tournament. All matches will be teams of three versus teams of three. There will be standard matches and perhaps the introduction of other types of matches such as Prep and Blood-Lust (read below for more details).
This is the list of characters and what versions are participating. If you request further clarification or have information to share about said versions, please see the Discussion thread.

Due to the nature of these super-villains there will not be leaders chosen in this tournament. However, these matches are not to the death. If there is another demand for one of those (hereby called Blood-Lusted) I may include a round of it.

The stages will revolve around super-villains from the 21st century. The first round will feature locations from Gotham City, home of the Bat-Villains. If there are ties, they may be broken by a little help from the audience and special guests.

Gotham Museum: A history museum built in the early twentieth century. It's architecture is only upstaged by it's valuable artifacts and security systems. The team must defeat all their rivals in the hallway and then make their way around or through security systems and steal a golden cat statue on the third floor.
Robinson Park: A beautiful park which plenty of space, foliage, and tranquil nights. The goal is to defeat all your opponents.
Gotham's Chinatown This battle takes place at a major intersection. Characters must defeat all their opponents and then stand by the arch in order to win. Teams automatically lose if the arch is harmed in any way.
Amusement Mile The teams start at the base of a Ferris wheel. They must defeat all their opponents and make their way to the show tent. The teams will find a pile of playing cards on the floor and must find the Joker card in order to win. Remember that this is was the Joker's headquarters, so expect traps and surprises.
Iceberg Lounge A popular hangout spot for society members and super-villains. The goal is to defeat all of your opponents.
Wayne Courthouse This is in essence a cage match. Each team starts on the opposite side of the courthouse. The goal is to defeat all of your opponents and escape.
Arkham Asylum Contrary to what you may expect, this is not a cage match. Each team starts outside of the asylum, on the swampy coast of the island. The teams must break into Arkham Asylum and find the bust of Arkham in the Warden's Office. Naturally, one must defeat all their opponents during this process.

Round One Battles
1. Team One: Phantom Lad,Nardo, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag in the Gotham Museum

Is the 12th match-up meant to be 2 vs 4?

Posted by Set on :

Tharok is two-timing it, making appearances in both Team Nineteen (challenge 10) and Team Twenty-Four (challenge 12).

Challenge 10 also lacks a location. (And nobody seems to be using Gotham's Chinatown.)

Yes, I am having a lot of difficulties with the random number generator. I think because of the sheer number of characters in the early rounds it's easy to delete names without realizing it. Unfortunately, I am busy this morning so I cannot edit the list until later. I would appreciate it if someone else would edit it for me so we don't lose time.

Only the Mods or Admins of this forum can edit your list.

I think IB is the only one of those actively participating in this game so hopefully he'll do it.

I'll handle it, but what exactly do I have to do? I PMed Emily, but since she doesn't want to waste time, I took the liberty of changing the lineup.

I checked the list and there are only 71 characters on it. The missing # is 44. I checked the original lists on the Discussion Thread and there never was a #44.

I skimmed through the second draft list and found 4 villains were taken out:

Chameleon Kid, Flare, Quanton, Sun Woman.

I wrote their names on strips of paper and picked one at random. Flare was the lucky villain, so she gets added to Team 23.

I didn't edit any of the locations since it didn't seem to be a big problem for Emily.

Thank you for your help, Invisible Brainiac. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy our special guests, the Bat-Villains. I suggest listening to "House Party at Arkham Asylum" during this round.

My pleasure, Emily. Glad you approve of what I did!

I'm also loving the creativity of changing the locations every round.

1. Team One: Phantom Lad,Nardo, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag in the Gotham Museum

I'll assume Hag has the same limitations as Mysa. She disables Nemesis Kid, the biggest threat on Team 1. While Nardo blasts her, Sugyn and Roy double team him.

However, while all this is happening, Phantom Lad makes his way to steal the cat statue.

From the description, I take it that simply stealing the statue isn't enough. I think the instant Phantom Lad materializes to take one opponent out, the other will take HIM out instead.

Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag

2. Team Three: Ol-Vir, Caress, and Silver Slasher
vs. Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen in the Gotham Museum

This fight will come down to whether SQ is faster than Ol-Vir. The Daxamite kid has never been shown to be particularly bright, and SQ is deadly, so I'll assume she can handle him. She takes him out of the game.

That leaves the short-range Caress and Slasher vs. the long-range Starfinger, BB and SQ. Even if Slasher acted immediately, I doubt she could take BOTH Blackout Boy and Starfinger - the latter of whom has several powers at his disposal.

Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen

3. Team Five: Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma (Postbooth) vs. Team Six: Arrow, Storm Boy, and Magnetic Kid in Wayne Courthouse

Charma will have a field day with three male opponents here. She can simply command them to fight each other, while Magno Lad and Black Mace pry the cage open.

Team Five: Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma (Postboot)

4. Team Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania vs.
Team Eight: Mist Master, Sunburst and Neutrax in the Iceberg Lounge

Wow, four super-assasins are here. Hmm...

I'm betting Neutrax and Mist Master can take out Titania, but Lazon will be too fast for them. Lazon takes out Neutrax, but he and Misty are at a stalemate.

Sunburst is protected against Lazon, but can't do anything back. That makes him an easy target for Computo. Mist Master tries to attack Computo, but come on...

[bTeam Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania [/b]

5. Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy vs. Team Ten: Holdur, Tusker, and Mano in Arkham Asylum

Oy. Holdur and Tusker are pretty useless here. Golden Boy kind of is as well (does he actually have to touch objects though?) Mano can simply disintegrate his way through anything, but...

I'll give this one to Team 9 because Mantis Morlo and his chemoids are there.

Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy

6. Team Eleven: Chameleon Chief, Size Lad, and Zepha vs. Team Twelve: Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor in the Iceberg Lounge

Assuming this battle starts right away, Hunter will be of little use. Size Lad can simply shrink Alaktor's belt so he can't use it. And Evisceratronic can only take out opponents he's facing - which won't help him against Chameleon Chief.

Team Eleven: Chameleon Chief, Size Lad, and Zepha

7. Team Thirteen: Stheno, Praetor Lemnos, and Spider Girl vs. Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot) in Robinson Park

Hmm. Stheno would have an advantage ordinarily, but the park gives plenty of places for her opponents to hide. As long as they can avoid her gaze, they'll be fine.

On the other hand, we have Lemnos. Tough one.

Elysion is the only one who can take out Lemnos, by using his earth powers to mess with the ground. Given the devastation he caused in the Threeboot, he could flatten the entire opposing team just like that. He doesn't even need to remember Lemnos is there to succeed.

Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot

8. Team Fifteen: Wild Huntsman, Command Kid, and Echo vs. Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor in the Gotham Museum

Echo could take out Satan Girl... IF he acted quickly enough. I'm betting she moves faster than sound, though... And then we have the telepathic Mystelor, who counteracts Command Kid expertly.

As these two mop up their opponents, Shagrek disintegrates the walls and security systems and claims the statue.

Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor

9. Team Seventeen: Twine, Emerald Empress (Pre-Crisis), and Earth-Man (Retroboot) vs. Team Eighteen: Pollen, Eyeful Ethel, and Ron-Karr in Arkham Asylum

I'd love to watch this battle just for the hilarity. The only way for Team 18 to win is for Team 17 to knock themselves out laughing!

Team Seventeen: Twine, Emerald Empress (Pre-Crisis), and Earth-Man (Retroboot)

10. Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok vs. Team Twenty: Cosmic King, Apollo, and Evillo in Gotham's Chinatown

Apollo has little to work with, since his powers are more effective on women. Tharok as brains would command Zymyyr to teleport him and Rogarth behind Cosmic King and Evillo and take them both out. They then easily dispose of Apollo.

Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok

11. Team Twenty-One: Esper Lass, Dr. Regulus, Monster Master vs. Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr in Wayne Courthouse

Monster Master has little to work with, unless he can bring animals in. Doc Regulus and Sun Emperor stalemate each other.

That leaves Esper Lass vs. Stasi and Tyr. I'm not sure how powerful she is - can she control two minds at once? Even if she can, though, Tyr has his bionic hand as a bonus.

Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr

12. Team Twenty-Three: Persuader, Ze Tongue, Flare
vs. Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy in Amusement Mile

Flare and Beauty Blaze stalemate each other, but Flare has the upper hand because she can fly. I'd give it to her but only after a long battle. OTOH, Dynamo Boy COULD give Beauty Blaze a boost - and he's one of the more cooperative villains, so I may have to rethink that.

Quicksand turns the ground beneath the other two to liquid, and turns the atomic axe to liquid for good measure. Tongue tries to take her out. Not sure how long his tongue is, though... in any case, whether or not he does manage to get to her, by that time Beauty Blaze should have beaten Flare. She can then take him out.

A powered up Beauty Blaze can simply burn any Joker traps that spring up while Dynamo Boy sorts through the cards.

Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy

Round One Battles
1. Team One: Phantom Lad, Nardo, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag in the Gotham Museum

I think this battle quickly deteriorates into destroying much of the museum, making finding that golden cat more difficult.

They could split up making that an advantage for Nemesis Kid but I imagine they would all show up at the same time and battle it out in the main hall of the museum.

I imagine some varied imperious statements like “What are YOU doing here ??” and “That golden cat is ours!!!”

Nardo rolls in with some Nardo androids because I think that’s just how he is.

I’m assuming that this Radiation Roy is the walking tank version, because it’s more fun.

Funny, that Roy is one of the only ones that can stop Phantom Lad. Roy takes out Phantom Lad, and then trades blasts with Nardo and the Nardo-bots. Roy may be able to take down a Nardo-bot but I think eventually Nardo blasts him through a wall or two.

Nemesis Kid has a hard time as long as there are so many characters in the battle. Also, the Hag is said to have precognition, so she may have prepared for some of this. Sugyn also sprays the opposition down at least knocking down Nardo and Nemesis Kid. I assume Sugyn comes prepared to unleash at least one blast … even though his power depends on available water.

Anyway, Nardo gets pissed and blasts down Sugyn, and for every magic trick the Hag has Nardo has a scientific weapon … leaving Nemesis Kid to finally be able to take the Hag down one on one.

And he and Nardo go find the golden cat amidst the rubble … and bicker over it.

1. Team One: Phantom Lad, Nardo, and Nemesis Kid

2. Team Three: Ol-Vir, Caress, and Silver Slasher
vs. Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen in the Gotham Museum

I think this battle starts pretty much the same, or one group busts in on the other.

Blackout Boy does his usual thing at first but … Ol-Vir just splatters him across the wall. Or throws a wall at him.

Starfinger freaks out and summons Starlight and Starbright to deal with Ol-Vir.

Caress and Silver Slasher try to jump in but Saturn Queen takes this opportunity to possess the opposing team. Heck, Ol-Vir might even join them, I doubt he cares about loyalty or his own interests since he’ always been shown as a follower. (They all may join, these three followers and Starfinger and Saturn Queen both leaders)

Saturn Queen keeps control of Ol-Vir to check Starfinger as they look for the golden cat.

Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen in the Gotham Museum

3. Team Five: Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma (Postboot) vs. Team Six: Arrow, Storm Boy, and Magnetic Kid in Wayne Courthouse

Charma really turns the tide here. And Black Mace is pretty tough.

Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma

4. Team Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania vs.
Team Eight: Mist Master, Sunburst and Neutrax in the Iceberg Lounge

hmm, I think Computo can take out Neutrax’s chair … maybe it’s shielded to Computo’s control but I doubt Nautrax can neutralize Coputo’s laser rays and/or a big Computo fist.

Mist Master is kind of useless since I think even Titania can hold her breath a long time and Lazon can become light … probably even blinding his old friend Mist Master, taking him out. Besides Mist Master will fold when Titania or Computo eventually takes out Sunburst.

Sunburst has a lot of tricks to use against Titania but I think the mega-villain Computo will either beat him eventually or sabotage all of Sunburst’s gadgets.

Computo for the win.

Team Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania

5. Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy vs. Team Ten: Holdur, Tusker, and Mano in Arkham Asylum

Mantis Morlo comes in carried on a litter by his Chemoids. Lightning Lord is complaining. They smash through a wall to get inside. Lightning Lord fries a bunch of guards.

Holdur and Tusker led by Mano encounter Morlo’s team amidst the fleeing of the Asylum’s inmates.

Tusker tackles the Chemoids. Lightning Lord takes out Holdur, and eventually Mano. Tusker MAY be able to take out Lightning Lord before Mekt fries him but I think the Chemoids could take down a weakend Tusker. But I think Mekt is pretty bad nass.

Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy

6. Team Eleven: Chameleon Chief, Size Lad, and Zepha vs. Team Twelve: Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor in the Iceberg Lounge

Evisceratronic and Alaktor are pretty useless, maybe they blast down Size Lad, but I think Zepha can take them out unless Alaktor exchanges her personality with a chimp. Or a hamster.

Hunter comes prepared, and even though Chameleon Chief is formidable. Hunter takes out Chameleon Chief and Hamster Zepha.

Team Twelve: Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor

7. Team Thirteen: Stheno, Praetor Lemnos, and Spider Girl vs. Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot) in Robinson Park

Stheno rolls into the park shouting “I’M GONNA TURN YOU ALL TO STONE!!!”

Not sure what good Lemnos is here in a battle royal scene, maybe he can sneak up behind the others and knock them out with a candlestick ?

Anyway, Elysion erupts the park smashing everyone. Even a hidden Lemnos. Who I’ve always hated … weak and creepy …

Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot) in Robinson Park

8. Team Fifteen: Wild Huntsman, Command Kid, and Echo vs. Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor in the Gotham Museum

hmm, Command Kid may be able to confuse Satan Girl …

and Mystelor is so grossed out by her team mate Shagrek she can’t use her powers.

Echo blasts them all. I think Satan Girl freaks out and smashes everything around her when it seems her team is losing.

She can search the museum in a minute. And flies off with the golden cat leaving her lackeys behind.

Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor

9. Team Seventeen: Twine, Emerald Empress (Pre-Crisis), and Earth-Man (Retroboot) vs. Team Eighteen: Pollen, Eyeful Ethel, and Ron-Karr in Arkham Asylum

This is a pretty funny match up. I’m not sure the Emerald Empress, Twine, and Earth-Man notice the others.

I imagine a funny scene where the Emerald Empress busts in on the opposing three just as they find the bust.

“GIVE ME THE BUST. NOW. “

and Ron-Karr politely hands it to her. hahaha

10. Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok vs. Team Twenty: Cosmic King, Apollo, and Evillo in Gotham's Chinatown

Apollo is useless against the males. “BAH!” Cosmic King can take out Tharok by transmuting his robot parts to air. Zymyr however attempts to teleport the opposing team away.

I think he is the faster teleporter as Evillo has to wait for his horns to grow out in order to blast and teleport the opposing team away.

Time in which Rogarth is busting Apollo’s head and being beat down by Cosmic King …

This is a close one but I think Zymyr can warp away the other team pretty quickly.

Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok

11. Team Twenty-One: Esper Lass, Dr. Regulus, Monster Master vs. Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr in Wayne Courthouse

Tyr guns down Esper Lass and Monster Master, and all of Monster Master’s cute fluffy critters.

Dr. Regulus vs. Sun Emporer but I think Tyr can blast away at the armor of Dr. Regulus until he falls.

Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr in Wayne Courthouse

12. Team Twenty-Three: Persuader, Ze Tongue, Flare
vs. Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy in Amusement Mile

I guess Flare is the more powerful fire dealer, even though I don’t like her.

Dynamo Boy can keep Persuader busy.

I think I’ll give this battle to Persuader … because he’s nasty … besides I think the Joker has some sort of laughing gas trap that someone trips killing everyone except for Persuader who wears a helmet capable of air tightness.

Team Twenty-Three: Persuader, Ze Tongue, Flare

Round One Battles
1. Team One: Phantom Lad,Nardo, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag in the Gotham Museum

The Hag is kind of dangerous, but it takes time for her to work up a spell. Meanwhile, Nardo can dispatch Sugyn and then go after her. Nemesis Kid adapts lead shielding to protect him from Roy, and then takes him out. Meanwhile, Phantom Lad is busy stealing the golden cat.

Team One

2. Team Three: Ol-Vir, Caress, and Silver Slasher
vs. Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen in the Gotham Museum

Starfinger can use his force thrust beams to keep opponents at bay, which makes Caress and Silver Slasher basically useless. Assuming Saturn Queen can take control of Ol-Vir, the game is over.

Team Three

3. Team Five: Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma (Postboot) vs. Team Six: Arrow, Storm Boy, and Magnetic Kid in Wayne Courthouse

Hmm... so the this entire battles could hinge on whether we go with the fan theory that the Murrans are gay, and thus immune to postboot Charma's power! If so, he can throw Charma into a wall or something, but I still think Magno Lad and Black Mace will be more than a match for Team Six, so I think I'll give the victory to Team Five anyway.

4. Team Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania vs.
Team Eight: Mist Master, Sunburst and Neutrax in the Iceberg Lounge

Lazon, at the speed of light, takes down Sunburst and manages to dodge Neutrax's neutalizer beams to take him out. Mist Master chokes Titania, but is soon vacuumed up by Computo. Team Seven for the win!

5. Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy vs. Team Ten: Holdur, Tusker, and Mano in Arkham Asylum

Hmm... now I find myself wondering what happens if Golden Boy and Mano shake hands. Anyway, Lightning Lord is the big advantage for Team Nine, because his long-range attacks can pretty much take out the other team before any except perhaps Mano can get close. And if Morlo gets to start with one or more of his Chemoids, they'll slow Mano down enough that he's going to be taken out as well. So, victory to Team Nine

6. Team Eleven: Chameleon Chief, Size Lad, and Zepha vs. Team Twelve: Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor in the Iceberg Lounge

Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor have to got to be the craziest grouping of the match. Anyway, Alaktor tries to use his Marvel Belt, only to find it's been shrunk to tiny size by Size Lad. The Hunter's throws a net which gets blown back at him by Zepha, and Eviscertronic tries to use his power gem thing-a-mabob, only to find out it's really Chameleon Chief in disguise! Victory to Team Eleven

7. Team Thirteen: Stheno, Praetor Lemnos, and Spider Girl vs. Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot) in Robinson Park

The park is the perfect environment for Elysion, who easily takes out Stheno before she can turn anyone to stone. Spider Girl tries to capture Calorie Queen, who promptly uses her super-strength to grasp her by the hair and twirl her around. Micro Lad is pretty sure he was supposed to be taking out someone as well, but can't remember who, and so Lemnos sneaks up on him and takes him down. But that trick won't work on Elysion and Calorie Queen, either one of which will make short work of him once they figure out he's there. So, Team Fourteen

8. Team Fifteen: Wild Huntsman, Command Kid, and Echo vs. Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor in the Gotham Museum

Now this is an interesting fight. I'm seeing any of the Fifteeners being able to do much against Satan Girl, however, except possibly Command Kid whose powers are actually magic-based (as opposed to the faux magic of the Wild Huntsman). Shagrek and Mystelor are nothing to sneeze at either. So, I'll give it to Team Sixteen.

9. Team Seventeen: Twine, Emerald Empress (Pre-Crisis), and Earth-Man (Retroboot) vs. Team Eighteen: Pollen, Eyeful Ethel, and Ron-Karr in Arkham Asylum

Pollen gives Earth-Man a serious sneezing fit, taking him out of the match. Ron-Karr manages to cleverly uses his power to dodge Twine's whip and then takes her out. And the Emerald Eye ditches Sarya for the host of its dreams, thus leading to the debut of Emerald Eyeful Ethel!! Darn it! My vote is Team Eighteen, and I'm sticking to it! [Wink]

10. Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok vs. Team Twenty: Cosmic King, Apollo, and Evillo in Gotham's Chinatown

Let's see Apollo's useless in this battle, unless a stray Chinese dragon happens to be wandering by (or maybe Man-Bat flies by). Cosmic King can pretty much take either Zymyr or Tharok out by transmuting either the bubble or the robot parts. Evillo can banish either Rogarth or Tharok to the Realm of Darkness. I'm not seeing any of the Nineteeners except possibly Tharok being all that effective against the other team, though. I'll go with Team Twenty!

11. Team Twenty-One: Esper Lass, Dr. Regulus, Monster Master vs. Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr in Wayne Courthouse

Hmm... not the greatest of environments for an animal controller. Dr. Reg and SE are pretty much evenly matched, though SE has his powers naturally, while Reg's are via an artificial means. Esper Lass can control Tyr or Stasi, but probably not Tyr's gun hand, which is going to give Team 22 a huge advantage, and thus the victory.

12. Team Twenty-Three: Persuader, Ze Tongue, Flare
vs. Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy in Amusement Mile

Again, Flare versus Beauty Blaze is a pretty even match. Quicksand can take out the Persuader's atomic axe, but he's still pretty tough without it. Dynamo Boy can disable most traps without too much of a problem (and possibly set them off to his advantage), but let's suppose Ze Tongue manages to kayo him. Quicksand can douse Flare, giving Beauty Blaze the victory in the battle of the fire-maidens, allowing BB to turn her attention to the Persuader and Ze Tongue. So I think it's going to Team 24 at the end of the day.

PART ONE

1. Team One: Phantom Lad, Nardo, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Sugyn, Radiation Roy, and Hag in the Gotham Museum

"Batter Up!" shouts Nardo and fires a nuclear bolt at Radiation Roy, incapacitating him before he can get close enough to use his radiation. "Foul Ball!" wails Nardo as he notices Hag cast a spell on Nemesis Kid which negates his power and allows Sugyn to blow him away with a water spurt. "Out Of Left Field!" gasps Nardo when he sees Phantom Lad sneak up behind Hag and knock her out. "Home Run!" gloats Nardo as he nuclear bolts Sugyn and then grabs the golden cat statue out of Phantom Lad's hands to bask in the glory on his own. "Jerk." mutters Phantom Lad.

Phantom Lad, Nardo & Nemesis Kid for the win.

2. Team Three: Ol-Vir, Caress, and Silver Slasher vs. Team Four: Starfinger, Blackout Boy, and Saturn Queen in the Gotham Museum

Team 4 has the advantage here by having three long-range fighters vs Team 3's two hand-to-hand combatants. While Saturn Queen shuts down Ol-Vir's mind, Blackout Boy shrouds his remaining opponents in darkness and then tells Starfinger where to aim to neutralise Caress. Silver Slasher's speed may enable her to avoid a few of Starfinger's blasts, but she's not strong enough to take out her three opponents (plus Ol-vir) on her own so, after a quick excursion to secure the statue, it's...

Starfinger, Blackout Boy & Saturn Queen for the win.

3. Team Five: Magno Lad, Black Mace, and Charma (Postboot) vs. Team Six: Arrow, Storm Boy, and Magnetic Kid in Wayne Courthouse

Charma compels her three male opponents to vanquish each other for her... and then forces Magno Lad and Black Mace to make out just for the kinky fun of it.

Magno Lad, Black Mace & Charma for the win.

4. Team Seven: Computo, Lazon, and Titania vs. Team Eight: Mist Master, Sunburst and Neutrax in the Iceberg Lounge

Lazon charges at Sunburst but bumps off his opponent's force shield. Neutrax seizes the opportunity to neutralise his old teammate's power before Computo suddenly takes control of his chair, sending it crashing into a wall. Sunburst blasts Titania with wave after wave of heat but she ploughs through it long enough to grab a hold of his sun device and crush it. Computo watches Mist Master sneak up on Titania to suffocate her and then uses the opportunity to trap them both in one of his force-shield prison things.

Computo, Lazon & Titania for the win.

5. Team Nine: Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo (Pre-Crisis), and Golden Boy vs. Team Ten: Holdur, Tusker, and Mano in Arkham Asylum

Mano is his team's biggest threat so Lightning Lord will take him out quickly from a distance before he can get close enough to touch anything. Holdur gets Golden Boy in a vice-like grip... but then just gets turned to gold for his trouble. And Mantis Morlo throws a vial of high content sugar at Tusker's teeth, rotting them away.

Lightning Lord, Mantis Morlo & Golden Boy for the win.

6. Team Eleven: Chameleon Chief, Size Lad, and Zepha vs. Team Twelve: Hunter, Evisceratronic, and Alaktor in the Iceberg Lounge

Unfortunately for Team 12, all three of them rely on external devices for their powers - and they're up against one (possibly two if Chameleon Chief can do it too) opponent who can control all those devices remotely. So while Zepha keeps her enemies off balance, Size Lad shrinks down Hunter's traps, Evisceratronic's gem and Alaktor's belt - rendering them all powerless.

Chameleon Chief, Size Lad & Zepha for the win.

PART TWO

7. Team Thirteen: Stheno, Praetor Lemnos, and Spider Girl vs. Team Fourteen: Calorie Queen, Micro Lad, and Elysion (Threeboot) in Robinson Park

Stheno attempts to turn her opponents into stone but only catches Calore Queen as Micro Lad shrinks out of the way of her vision and Elysion shields himself with a wall of earth, which he then uses to encase Stheno. Spider Girl attempts to entangle Elysion but Micro Lad sneaks into her brain and stuns her. Forgetting about Praeter Lemnos, they think they've won and let their guard down, and he seizes the opportunity to knock them both out.

Stheno, Praetor Lemnos & Spider Girl for the win.

8. Team Fifteen: Wild Huntsman, Command Kid, and Echo vs. Team Sixteen: Shagrek, Satan Girl, and Mystelor in the Gotham Museum

Too funny that Shagrek and Mystelor wound up on the same team! Satan Girl, like all Kryptonians, is vulnerable to magic so Wild Huntsman's magic horn will keep her busy for a while. Mystelor will attempt to telekinetically and telepathically control the other two, but since she's also having to fend off Shagrek and his unwanted advances, this allows Command Kid time to distract them with an illusion and Echo to blow them away. After defeating Satan Girl, Wild Huntsman then snares the statue with his lasso.

Wild Huntsman, Command Kid & Echo for the win.

9. Team Seventeen: Twine, Emerald Empress (Pre-Crisis), and Earth-Man (Retroboot) vs. Team Eighteen: Pollen, Eyeful Ethel, and Ron-Karr in Arkham Asylum

On paper this is an *extremely* one-sided match, but when you think about it, it's actually more interesting than that. Earth Man is at a distinct disadvantage here because, since his two allies rely on external devices, they don't have any powers he can absorb to boost his own. And I think the Emerald Empress and her Eye would probably be vulnerable to Pollen's poisonous spores, as would Earth Man. So that would take two of the biggest hitters of this whole tournament out of this match. If Twine can dodge the spores long enough she could catch Pollen with her whip, but that would give Eyeful Ethel and Ron-Karr the opportunity to team up and knock her out. And then Ron Karr would have no trouble slipping under doors to find the bust. So, surprisingly, I'm saying it's...

Pollen, Eyeful Ethel & Ron-Karr for the win.

10. Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok vs. Team Twenty: Cosmic King, Apollo, and Evillo in Gotham's Chinatown

Apollo's harp is unlikely to work on Zymyr or Tharok so he will quickly charm Rogarth into attacking his own teammates. Cosmic King will add to their woes by transmuting Zymyr's protective glass bubble into air, neutralising him. And Evillo will then just project his two battling opponents into the realm of darkness.

Cosmic King, Apollo & Evillo for the win.

11. Team Twenty-One: Esper Lass, Dr. Regulus, Monster Master vs. Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr in Wayne Courthouse

The two pretty-much evenly-powered fire-wielders cancel each other out here, leaving it up to their teammates to win the day. Without any animals around to control, Monster Master is pretty-much useless, but provided she can beat Stasi to the punch, Esper Lass could mentally control both him/her(?) and Tyr. She won't have realised that Tyr's gun can detach and sneak up on her by itself though, and after that shock realisation it's...

Sun Emperor, Stasi & Tyr for the win.

12. Team Twenty-Three: Persuader, Ze Tongue, Flare vs. Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy in Amusement Mile

Close fight this one. The two fire-wielders pretty much cancel each other out again this round (however, if it comes down to it, I would say Beauty Blaze has the edge here by virtue of her experience and the boost that Dynamo Boy gives her). They're all pretty much long-range fighters too (assuming Persuader throws his axe). Ze Tongue could entangle Quicksand but needing to keep her tied up would take him out of the fight too. Persuader could destroy Dynamo Boy's belt with his axe (rendering him powerless) but if he wasn't quick enough to stop Beaty Blaze from defeating Flare he would then have to face her on his own. And I think her long-range abilities would win the day there.

Beauty Blaze, Quicksand & Dynamo Boy for the win.

10. Team Nineteen: Zymyr, Rogarth and Tharok

"We are impressed by the combat skills of Team Nineteen," A representative of the League of Assasins commented.

11. Team Twenty-Two: Sun Emperor, Stasi, and Tyr i
12. Team Twenty-Four: Beauty Blaze, Quicksand, Dynamo Boy

Now we leave Gotham city for the City of Tomorrow, Metropolis. Our guest stars have come from as far away as Apokolips to witness these fights. This round is sponsored by LuthorCorp.

Second Round Stages
LuthorCorp Headquarters: The goal is to defeat all your opponents as you ascend the building. The team must enter Lex Luthor's office and chose from one of three briefcases in order to win. The team that chooses the briefcase with kryptonite wins.
Bottled City of Kandor: This is in essence a cage match. One must defeat all opponents and find a way out of the Bottled City of Kandor in order to win.
Kirby Mountains: Each team starts at a different entrance to this tranquil forested area just outside of Metropolis. One must defeat all their opponents and find the hidden Mother Box on top of the tallest tree in order to win. Be wary that approaching Project Cadmus can be extremely dangerous.
Schuster Arena: Someone named Glorious Godfrey has given a generous donation for fights to bee held in this arena. He advertises jets of fire and torture devices, so it might be wise to defeat all your opponents as soon as possible.
S.T.A.R Laboratories: A maze of science and bureaucracy in which each team starts in a room on the top floor. They must defeat all their opponents and find their way out of this laboratory.
Daily Planet Rooftop: The Daily Planet roof has been the place of many battles. One must defeat all their opponents without falling off the roof. There are no penalties for destroying the logo due to an agreement with the city.

Round Two Battles
1. Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen vs. Team Two: Mantis Morlo, Zepha, and Golden Boy in LuthorCorp Headquarters
2. Team Three: Shagrek, Lightning Lord, and Rogarth vs. Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy on the Daily Planet Rooftop
3. Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania vs. Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid
and Tyr in S.T.A.R Laboratories
4. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
vs. Team Seven: Blackout Boy, Starfinger and Eyeful Ethel in the Bottled City of Kandor
5. Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo
vs. Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon

1. Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen vs. Team Two: Mantis Morlo, Zepha, and Golden Boy in LuthorCorp Headquarters

Lots of room for getting lost in here.

Tharok and Morlo both have big advantages. I'm leaning towards Morlo, who potentially has an army of chemoids to help them out. But Tharok can simply hack into the building defenses and control them, whatever they are.

Beauty Blaze and Pollen look for Zepha and Golden Boy. Let's say all four find each other. Pollen blasts Zepha and GB, who blows the spores back and slams Pollen into a wall. Blaze melts Golden Boy to the floor. Zepha and Blaze are locked into a stalemate.

Tharok sees what happens and takes out Zepha. But the Chemoids take out Blaze.

Hmmm... in a Tharok vs. Morlo sitch, I'm leaning towards the craftier Tharok. So...

Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen

2. Team Three: Shagrek, Lightning Lord, and Rogarth vs. Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy on the Daily Planet Rooftop

Hmm...! Lightning Lord acts first and blasts the biggest threat - Stasi. But a Dynamo Boy-boosted stasis field slows down the lightning enough to allow them to dodge. Stasi then freezes all three opponents whil Ronn-Kar knocks them out one by one.

Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy

3. Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania vs. Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid
and Tyr in S.T.A.R Laboratories

Sun Emp starts burning the place down while Tyr sends his gun hand to find an exit. Nemesis Kid stands around looking for an opponent so that his power will work.

Chameleon Chief comes across Tyr's gun hand and transforms it into a cymbal monkey. Titania encounters Sun Emp and takes him out. Micro Lad and the Chief then double team Nemesis Kid while Titania takes out Tyr.

Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania

4. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
vs. Team Seven: Blackout Boy, Starfinger and Eyeful Ethel in the Bottled City of Kandor

Charma makes BB and Starfinger knock each other out. Nardo and Eyeful Ethel have a staring contest, and CQ sucker punches EE while they're at it.

Nardo is smart enough to figure a way of the bottled city, or Charma can control the Kryptonians to help them, so...

Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo

5. Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo
vs. Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon
in Schuster Arena

Whew. Tough one. SQ mind controls Phantom Lad and Magno Lad to take each other out. However, Computo takes both her and Black Mace out.

That leaves Computo vs. Lazon. Computo takes control of all the arena devices, but Lazon's light form is too fast and...

Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon

6. Team Ten: Mystelor, Zymyr, and Elysion vs. Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad in the Kirby Mountains

Ooh. Tough one again.

Satan Girl uses her vision powers to spot the other team. She flies Size Lad to Zymyr, and Size Lad shrinks his teleportation gadgets. Zymyr down.

Quicksand goes to confront Elysion. She liquefies anything he throws at her, but eventually goes down as Elysion makes the ground underneath her erupt.

While that happens, SG is going after Mystelor, who has been trying to mind-control her all this time.

I'm not sure how powerful Mystelor is, but she didn't control Shagrek from harassing her, so...

SG beats Mystelor, then takes out Elysion.

Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad

Round Two Battles
1. Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen vs. Team Two: Mantis Morlo, Zepha, and Golden Boy in LuthorCorp Headquarters

These venues are actually pretty difficult for these kids because for example: I bet the Luthor building’s defenses could take out most of these players. (Mechanical arms, energy blasts, gas attacks, darts, etc.) They’re overall not as smart the LSH members.

I figure Tharok and Mantis Morlo can get their respective teams to the top but, not without hilarious difficulty. Both teams arrive at the top the worse for wear … and Mantis down a few Chemoids. Well, maybe it’ll be ok since they are scientists from the future.

They all get to Luthor’s penthouse office just in time to fight over the briefcases.

Zepha and Beauty Blaze blast at each other, Golden Boy is pretty much useless since Tharok guns him down from a distance. Tharok holds off the Chemoids while Pollen takes out Morlo … Then they triple team Beauty Blaze, who might get in a few good licks but … eventually falls or flees.

Tharok has the savy to pick the right briefcase.

Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen

2. Team Three: Shagrek, Lightning Lord, and Rogarth vs. Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy on the Daily Planet Rooftop

It’s windy on the rooftop. Shagrek disintegrates the Daily Planet Sign. Then he disintegrates big flat easy target Ron-Karr. : (

Stasi puts Shagrek in a stasis field and kicks him off the side of the building.

Rogarth beats on Dynamo Boy keeping him busy while Lightning Lord goes crazy blasting everything, because the storm told him to, and fries Stasi!

Dynamo Boy dispatches Rogarth and this battle ends up a fight between crazy Lightning Lord’s natural power versus the artificial power of Lightning Lord. Unfortunately for Mekt, Dynamo Boy is cunning enough to get all the LSH expelled according to their own rules. DB comes prepared and is pretty good in the use of his belt to create any power that is necessary to defeat Lightning Lord. I’m sure if it came to an energy blast match versus energy blast match, LL could burn out DB’s belt but … I don’t think DB’s that dumb. He’d smack him with an elongated punch, or bounce on him with Bouncing Boy’s power.

Dynamo Boy stands alone, amongst the blackened rubble of the Daily planet building. Too bad, I love that crazy Mekt.

Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy

3. Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania vs. Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid
and Tyr in S.T.A.R Laboratories

This one’s tough. For them. Chameleon Chief and Titania are no help to Micro Lad who has to lead them out of the labs himself. But their variable forms and invulnerability aids them.

Nemesis Kid quickly takes charge of his team and leads his crew better, plus he’s got Tyr who isn’t so shabby with technology.

Any random super humans that happen to be in the labs get taken out by Nemesis Kid.

Assuming Micro Lad’s team can catch up with Nemesis Kid’s … Sun Emperor slags them and the hallway they are in, melting the walls and floors in a vicious manner. Chameleon Chief, Titania, and Mist Master all can survive but are taken aback. Mist Master must be vulnerable to the steam and heat let off by the melting hall. [shrug]

Tyr fires away at the three, stunning them or forcing them to dodge.

Nemesis Kid can take out Mist Master, Tyr and/or Sun Emperor can each keep Chameleon Chief more than busy while the other teams up with Nemesis Kid take down Titania. Chameleon Chief, if he’s not fried by now, should run.

Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid
and Tyr

4. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
vs. Team Seven: Blackout Boy, Starfinger and Eyeful Ethel in the Bottled City of Kandor

OK, I figure if these shrunken guys make any disturbance an army of Super police officers are going to bring the hammer down on them.

If they face off, shots are exchanged, and I assume Blackout Boy can knock out Charma’s power … hmmm.

I’m not sure just how strong Calorie Queen is, enough to punch out Blackout Boy and Eyeful Ethel for sure but … maybe not enough to throw a building down on them.

After much wandering around in the dark for each other, Starfinger summons Starlight and Starbright who do battle with Nardo’s androids. Nardo, however disintegrates them with some strange technology.

Nardo laughs as he trades bolts with a sad Starfinger. The Nardo bots close in on Ethel and Blackout Boy.

Charma and Calorie Queen alert Nardo to the arriving Kryptonian powered police … but Nardo just has some kryptonite weapon in store for them. They stroll out of Kandor, Nardo’s cape blowing in the wind behind him.

Nardo flips a switch and they all return to normal size. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo

5. Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo
vs. Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon
in Schuster Arena

Jets of fire and torture devices!? Magno Lad and/or Computo can commandeer such devices for their advantage. However, Saturn Girl commandeers Phantom Lad, and Magno Lad!

Computo strikes down Saturn Queen, while fending off Black Mace, Lazon, and Magno Lad.

A beat up and rusty Computo fries Black Mace, and sprays Lazon with some sort of energy cancelling/entrapment agent.

Hey, they’re no LSH!

Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo

6. Team Ten: Mystelor, Zymyr, and Elysion vs. Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad in the Kirby Mountains

This eventually ends in chaos, no matter how it starts.

Elysion is destroying the whole damn place with earth quakes and rocks moving through the air. Satan Girl is smashing everything. And Project Cadmus super powered clones are called in to shut down the disturbance.

Zymyr teleports Size Lad, Quicksand, and a handful of clones away …

Zymyr freaks out because of all the Cadmus clones coming and teleports himself away. Seems like something he would do.

Mystelor, I figure if Dream Girl can take you out, Satan Girl can accidentally take you out while she’s smashing Elysion’s rocks.

(I wonder if Satan Girl is as smart as Super Girl?) Anyway, she flies rings around Elysion’s avalanches and whips off to grab the Mother Box … avoiding the Cadmus clones.

Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad

Round Two Battles
1. Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen vs. Team Two: Mantis Morlo, Zepha, and Golden Boy in LuthorCorp Headquarters

Hmm... Beauty Blaze/Zepha and Pollen/Golden Boy are pretty much stalemated as they battle their way up the stairs. Tharok and Mantis Morla make their way up, at which point MM distracts Tharok with one of his chemoids. Morlo picks a briefcase, but picks incorrectly. Tharok, however, using the infra-red in his robot eye, does not have that problem

Team One wins.

2. Team Three: Shagrek, Lightning Lord, and Rogarth vs. Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy on the Daily Planet Rooftop

Hmm... not sure what Stasi's capacity for generating stasis fields is, but the best bet is if it can be boosted by Dynamo Boy and used to capture all three opponents. Otherwise, team four is pretty much dead meat. I'll give it to Team Four, however.

3. Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania vs. Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid
and Tyr in S.T.A.R Laboratories

Both teams rush down the stairs. Nemesis Kid runs headlong into the other team, who all attack him at once. His power teleports him out of the building. Then Sun Emperor and Tyr just start blasting and burning stuff, and the whole building basically collapses/explodes. Team Six.

4. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
vs. Team Seven: Blackout Boy, Starfinger and Eyeful Ethel in the Bottled City of Kandor

For a second I thought this would be the ideal environment for Nardo, but then I remembered his super-fatassing power requires super-power Kryptonians to work. I'm not sure if women automatically attack this version of Charma. If so, she's probably quickly taken out of the battle by Calorie Queen. Nardo can easily take out Blackout Boy, as his radar eye is probably immune to his power. Let's suppose Starfinger takes down Calorie Queen with radiation or force thrust ray or something after she takes out Eyeful Ethel. That leaves Starfinger versus Nardo, which seems to me the main battle of this match, however it goes. And while Starfinger has a heck of a lot of powers, it just seems to me at the end of the day Nardo is a whole lot meaner and deadlier. So, Nardo scores a home run! Duplicate Team Six advances as well.

5. Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo
vs. Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon
in Schuster Arena

Black Mace is quickly bonked on the head by his own mace via Magno Lad. Saturn Queen commands Phantom Lad to remain tangible while Lazon takes him out. I don't think Lazon is going to be able to take down Computo (who is protected by a force field), however, so the best bet would be if Saturn Queen could control Magno Lad and use his power against Computo. However, if Computo is smart (er... which it is), it will recognize Magno Lad as the greatest mammalian thread to him and neutralize him itself. So, before Saturn Queen takes contol of Magno Lad, Computo captures him and imprisons him in one of his bubble thingmabobs. It then takes out the rest of the opposing team, after a few experiments with how their mammalian bodies endure exposure to the advertised torture devices. Team Eight for the win.

6. Team Ten: Mystelor, Zymyr, and Elysion vs. Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad in the Kirby Mountains

This is an interesting match-up. It seems like the perfect environment for Elysion, though I don't he's going to be able to do much against these three particular opponents. Quicksand can basically go liquid, Satan Girl is invulnerable, and Size Lad can shrink any chunks of Earth that get near him. It seems to me Team Ten's only hope is if Zymyr teleports Satan Girl away before she gets the Mother Box. Size Lad could shrink Zymyr's bubble, however, causing him to retreat. I think it's really going to come down to which of Mystelor or Quicksand can find the Mother Box after all the destruction caused by Elysion, and I'm going to go with Quicksand. Team Eleven.

1. Team One: Tharok, Beauty Blaze, and Pollen vs. Team Two: Mantis Morlo, Zepha, and Golden Boy in LuthorCorp Headquarters

Pollen will try to infect the other team with her spores so Zepha will be kept busy trying to blow them all away. Golden Boy is susceptible to heat so Beauty Blaze will make sure he doesn't get close enough to touch anyone. And Tharok has the firepower to disable Mantis Morlo before he can use one of his chemical concoctions, and then use his X-ray vision (he does have that right?) in order to determine which case has the kryptonite.

Tharok, Beauty Blaze & Pollen for the win.

2. Team Three: Shagrek, Lightning Lord, and Rogarth vs. Team Four: Stasi, Ron-Karr, and Dynamo Boy on the Daily Planet Rooftop

I'm not sure of the limits of Stasi's stasis field power but let's say Dynamo Boy boosts it so that he/she(?) is able to contain at least two of the opposing team. Since everyone on Team 3 has long-range offensive capabilities, that still leaves one opponent who can destroy Dynamo Boy's belt from a distance. And with that gone I don't see Team 4 able to overcome their more powerful opponents.

Shagrek, Lightning Lord & Rogarth for the win.

3. Team Five: Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad and Titania vs. Team Six: Sun Emperor, Nemesis Kid and Tyr in S.T.A.R Laboratories

Gosh. This is the most difficult fight yet to determine a winner in IMO. Everyone's power seems to be able to counteract everyone else's power and on top of that - no one here seems particularly suited to the maze, so it may just be a case of one team defeating the other and then creating their own destructive path out of the laboratory.

Team 5 are all close-range fighters so Sun Emperor and Tyr will obviously try to take them out quickly from a distance. However, I see Team 5 as able to withstand, shape-shift or shrink around those assaults in order to avoid them and get in close.

Once there, I can honestly see this fight go about a dozen different ways so to save time I'm just going to give it to the team that's a little more sneaky than the other.

Chameleon Chief, Micro Lad & Titania for the win.

4. Team Six: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo vs. Team Seven: Blackout Boy, Starfinger and Eyeful Ethel in the Bottled City of Kandor

Starfinger is probably the perfect opponent to go up against Charma and Nardo as he can neutralise the former's power and reflect the latter's. And Eyeful Ethel and Blackout Boy make a great combination since I'm assuming she might have some vision powers that let her see in the dark. But even with that advantage I'm not seeing how they could do anything to take down Calorie Queen by themselves. So I'll say they just keep her busy while Starfinger takes down her opponents, and then does the same to her.

Blackout Boy, Starfinger & Eyeful Ethel for the win.

5. Team Eight: Phantom Lad, Magno Lad, and Computo vs. Team Nine: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Lazon in Schuster Arena

Saturn Queen commands Phantom Lad to stay solid, allowing Lazon to zap him out of action. But then Magno Lad pulls Black Mace's weapon out of his hand and smashes Saturn Queen over the head with it, putting her out of action. Lazon then zaps Magno Lad while Computo puts Black Mace in a force field prison, leaving it at 1 on 1. But here, I think Lazon will be too quick for Computo's force fields and should also be able to disrupt the living computer's electronic circuitry with his power, so I'll say it's...

Saturn Queen, Black Mace & Lazon for the win.

6. Team Ten: Mystelor, Zymyr, and Elysion vs. Team Eleven: Satan Girl, Quicksand, and Size Lad in the Kirby Mountains

Elysion and Mystelor telekinetically rip up the earth and trees and attempt to pummel their opponents with them. But Quicksand turns it all into liquid and then Satan Girl uses her super-breath to forcefully blow it all back at Team 10. Meanwhile, Size Lad prevents Zymyr from teleporting away by shrinking down his bubble-ship thing so that it cracks around him.

Satan Girl, Quicksand & Size Lad for the win.

Thank you everyone for your patience! Since everyone got their votes in so early, I have decided to post the results now.

Wildcard Winners
Computo
Stheno
Ze Tongue
Spider Girl
Twine
Sugyn

The next round will feature enemies of the Green Lanterns, in honor of a forum member's recent birthday. It was difficult to decide on four Green Lantern villains, but I have done the best I could to make everyone happy.

Round Three Stages
Korugarian Street: We are on the planet Korugar, the homeworld of Sinestro. Both teams start on different sides of the street and must defeat all their opponents. They must do this without the Green Lantern flag on their side of the street being captured. They must try to capture the flag of the other team.
Zamaron Arena: This is a match in a neutral environment. The team who defeats all their opponents wins.
Coast City Cove: Each team starts on one side of a cove on the sunny shores of Coast City. They must defeat all their opponents while enduring ever changing weather traditions caused by Major Disaster.
Solomon Grundy's Swamp: The teams begin on opposite sides of a swamp outside of Gotham City. The goal is to defeat all your opponents, however this is not a friendly environment. Solomon Grundy sleeps under the water and will awaken if the water is strongly disturbed.

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon
vs. Team Two: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Beauty Blaze on the Coast City Cove
2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi vs. Team Four: Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr in Solomon Grundy's Swamp
3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr vs. Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno on the Korugarian Street
4. Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue
vs. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Due to events such as the annual Secret Society of Super-Villains Holiday Party, our guest stars have requested that voting deadlines be pushed back as far as possible.

Votes are due on Monday, December 26th at 1:30 P.M Central Time. Happy Holidays everyone!

Wow, Emily. Your arenas are becoming more and more creative!

I'm also pleased that a lot of one-shot villains from the Postboot are still in it - it's a testament to that era. Pollen, Stheno and Ze Tongue all appeared only once, and Twine didn't appear that much more often. We're also using the Postboot version of Karma, cool.

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon
vs. Team Two: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Beauty Blaze on the Coast City Cove

I think Saturn Queen could take out Satan Girl, but not Lazon as well. If she takes out one, the other will get her. Neither Black Mace nor Beauty Blaze can do much against living light or a Kryptonian, so... Spider Girl gets VERY lucky with two good teammates.

Also, Satan Girl and Lazon are the two who can withstand Major Disaster's powers best.

Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon

2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi vs. Team Four: Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr in Solomon Grundy's Swamp

Weren't Dynamo Boy and Stasi on the same team before?

Charma again takes control, removing Sun Emperor and Tyr from the fight.

Pollen blasts them all with her pollen, but Stasi either freezes it or Dynamo Boy heals Stasi and Charma enough to take Pollen out.

Grundy isn't an issue, as he's clearly male and thus vulnerable to Charma. If her powers won't work, Stasi's will.

Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi

3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr vs. Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno on the Korugarian Street

Interesting battle.

Since this is a street without objects blocking their line of sight, Stheno can easily turn Nardo with his many eyes and Ron-Karr to stone just like that. That leaves 3 versus Computo.

Stheno's useless against it, but Sugyn can keep it busy.

Korugar isn't particularly technological, so Computo doesn't have too much of an advantage. Tharok can stalemate it as well.

Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno

4. Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue
vs. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Tough one.

Hmmm...

This is a small area, so I'd guess Quicksand, Twine and Ze Tongue, all of whom have long-range abilities, will be smart enough to gang up on Nemesis Kid ASAP.

Size Lad shrinks Twine's whip, but Quicksand and Tongue still double team and take out NK fast.

Quicksand then liquefies the ground underneath Calorie Queen and Size Lad, while Ze Tongue knocks them out.

Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon
vs. Team Two: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Beauty Blaze on the Coast City Cove

Let's see, Saturn Queen could probably take control of Satan Girl or Lazon, but not both, and either of them left uncontrolled can pretty quickly take her out. Let's say she starts to take control of Satan Girl, but Lazon zaps her at the speed of light. Weather conditions don't seem like they're going to make much difference. Satan Girl can then take down Beauty Blaze without much caring about the weather either. The weather could effect a match-up between Spider Girl and Black Mace, which Sussa would ordinary have an advantage in because of superior range, but even if BM takes her down, there's still not much he can do against the other two.

Team One

2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi vs. Team Four: Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr in Solomon Grundy's Swamp

Charma quickly takes control of Sun Emperor and Tyr, sending them to fight against each other. Pollen (who is female, right?) tries blasting the others with spores, which are intercepted by Stasi's stasis field. Tyr's gunhand detaches and begin flying across the swamp, where it is quickly stopped by Solomon Grundy, who has been awoken by all the thrashing of Sun Emperor and Tyr and quickly became another slave to Charma. Dynamo Boy actually takes out the gun by draining it's power, however. Grundy then enters into the Tyr/Sun Emperor battle, and emerges victorious, if a little burned.

Team Three

3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr vs. Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno on the Korugarian Street

Computo positions himself at the "base" of his team, force shielding himself as well as the flag. Nardo quickly advances with his Nardobots. Stheno tries to stop them, but Nardo his able to use his radar vision to avoid her power, and a quickly blast from him takes her out. Meanwhile, Ron-Karr is sliding across the street, but Sugyn quickly washes him into the gutter and down the drain with a well-placed water spout. Tharok meanwhile, is blasting through Nardobots and reaches Computo, who berates him for his mammalian half before capturing him as an interesting specimen for study. Meanwhile a well-placed blast from Nardo also takes down Sugyn, who is left guarding his flag by himself, and Nardo grabs the flag, with plenty of baseball metaphors thrown in!

Team Five

4. Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue
vs. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Size Lad effectively neutralizes Twine by shrinking her whip thingie, and Calorie Queen goes straight for Ze Tongue, using her super-strength to her advantage (and a well-place bite if need be). This leaves Nemesis Kid plenty of leeway to adapt all sorts of abilities to deal with Quicksand. I'm going to say he just neutralizes her power, allowing Calorie Queen to kayo her (and Twine for that matter).

Team Eight

I have to do these really quickly unfortunately so they're not as well-thought out as my previous match-ups.

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon vs. Team Two: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Beauty Blaze on the Coast City Cove

Beauty Blaze is poorly suited to the wet, stormy conditions which keep extinguishing her flames; and Black Mace is equally vulnerable to the violent weather. Saturn Queen tries to control the minds of her opponents but between Satan Girl's super-mind and Lazon's light-form she has to settle for Spider Girl - who is of little use to her. And Satan Girl and Lazon mop them all up.

Spider Girl, Satan Girl & Lazon for the win.

2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi vs. Team Four: Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr in Solomon Grundy's Swamp

Dynamo Boy, Stasi and Charma are a great combination who can take down all of their opponents quickly by either freezing them or charming them - all without waking Solomon Grundy.

Charma, Dynamo Boy & Stasi for the win.

3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr vs. Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno on the Korugarian Street

Stheno tries to petrify her opponents but Ron-Karr flattens and lets the rays go past him, Nardo uses his radar vision to avoid it, and Computo is immune to it. While Computo and Tharok try to out-110001111001 each other, Nardo keeps Sugyn busy and Ron-Karr sneaks past to capture the flag.

Nardo, Computo & Ron-Karr for the win.

4. Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue vs. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Size Lad quickly shrinks down Twine's whip, rendering her ineffective. In response, Quicksand melts the ground underneath all of her opponents, catching Size Lad and Calorie Queen but not Nemesis Kid until Ze Tongue tangles him up with his tongue as well. Team 7 think they've won... until Calorie Queen eats and fights her way out of the sand pit until she is close enough to Quicksand and Ze Tongue to knock them out.

Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid & Size Lad for the win.

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon
vs. Team Two: Saturn Queen, Black Mace, and Beauty Blaze on the Coast City Cove

Satan Girl and/or Lazon are just too fast for Saturn Queen. I think they can fly through any hurricane or tidal wave that Major Disaster throws at them, while the other team could be wiped out by Major Disaster. The wind and rain are also pretty hard on Beauty Blaze’s powers.

Saturn Queen may be able to stop Lazon but, across the cove is pretty far and she may not even see him before he across the distance taking her out. Also I assume Satan Girl like Supergirl would take at least a few seconds to be mentally overpowered.

Satan Girl takes out Black Mace after a few back and forths. Spider Girl finally arrives, out of breath from running all the way over from the other side of the cove, to be a target for Beauty Blaze while Satan Girl and/r Lazon take her down.

This long distance venue just isn’t kind to Saturn Queen.

Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon

2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi vs. Team Four: Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr in Solomon Grundy's Swamp

hmmm, I’m trying to think how these can take out Solomon Grundy?

I think Sun Emporer’s flame is a big target for Solomon. While Solomon is fighting Sun Emperor, Pollen, and Tyr … Dynamo Boy’s team sneaks up and takes them all out … If they need help against Solomon Charma uses all the boys to beat him down. I think the swamp is a big advantage for someone as cunning and back stabbing as Dynamo Boy.

Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi

3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr vs. Team Six: Sugyn, Tharok, and Stheno on the Korugarian Street

Computo rules Tharok … Tharok’s human self struggles with his Computo controlled robot half. Nardo has some invention to reflect Stheno’s power, turning her to stone.

Sugyn and Ron-Karr trip each other up until Nardo puts the smack down on Sugyn.

Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr for the win.

... The Green Lantern of the sector promptly shows up to do battle with the winning team.

4. Team Seven: Quicksand, Twine, and Ze Tongue
vs. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Twine takes out Size Lad quick enough, Calorie Queen punches out Twine, Nemesis Kid takes out Ze Tongue with pure nastiness and then uses his powers on Quicksand. Calorie Queen and Nemesis then gloat … the Zamaron’ applaud Calorie Queen.

Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad in the Zamaron Arena

Round Three Battle Results
1. Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl, and Lazon
2. Team Three: Charma, Dynamo Boy, Stasi
3. Team Five: Nardo, Computo, and Ron-Karr
4. Team Eight: Calorie Queen, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad

Round Four Battle Stages

The stages for this round are based around the villains of Shazam.

Thief-King Stage Each team starts at the end of a luxurious tomb in Ancient Egypt. They must break into the tomb (which is filled with the usual fake doors and other ancient anti-burglary devices) and steal a golden ankh. They must defeat all their opponants too; however too much noise will alert the guards.

Mansion Stage The creepy Sivana mansion in Fawcett City looks like it is from the 18th century on the outside, but inside is the marvels of worlds beyound Earth. Each team starts in a room in the basement. They must defeat all their opponants and find a way outside of the mansion.

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Dynamo Boy, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Stasi, Lazon, and Ron-Karr on the Thief-King Stage
2. Team Four: Computo, Satan Girl, and Size Lad
vs. Team Five: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
on the Mansion Stage

I got this result three out of four times using the random generator, so it is what will take place. The votes for this round are currently due on December 29th at 9:00 P.M Central Time. Thank you for your patience.

Man, looks like I was the only one who didn't go with the flow last round!

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Dynamo Boy, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Stasi, Lazon, and Ron-Karr on the Thief-King Stage

Breaking into a tomb, sounds like a good venue for both Spider-Girl and Ron-Karr! Good for them.

Lazon zips around looking for the tomb. When he finds it, he signals Stasi and Ron-Karr to follow.

Suddenly, Team One stumbles upon him. Nemesis Kid steps forward and evolves a power that can beat Lazon. Stasi freezes Dynamo Boy (knowing from previous rounds just how dangerous he can be) but is taken out by Spider Girl. Ron-Karr evades both of them and slips into the tomb.

When Spider Girl and Nemesis Kid finally follow...

Ron-Karr can easily escape, but he can't do much to either of them.

Team One: Spider Girl, Dynamo Boy, and Nemesis Kid

2. Team Four: Computo, Satan Girl, and Size Lad
vs. Team Five: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo
on the Mansion Stage

Wow, Computo and Satan Girl on the same team is almost unfair. Satan Girl can x-ray vision her way around, while Computo can meddle with the equipment. Charma is useless against either of them.

Satan Girl zips around at superspeed and takes out CQ, Charma and Nardo. Size Lad assists Computo in mapping the Sivana mansion.

Team Four: Computo, Satan Girl, and Size Lad

I can't either, my computer is in the shop, team one and team four.

Sorry Nardo! [Frown]

Another quickie unfortunately -

1. Team One: Spider Girl, Dynamo Boy, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Two: Stasi, Lazon, and Ron-Karr on the Thief-King Stage

Spider Girl and Ron-Karr don't really have the offensive capabilities to make much of a difference to this fight so they will race each other to the ankh while their teammates battle it out. And I think the outcome of that battle all comes down to whether Stasi is quick enough to freeze Dynamo Boy in time before he amps up Nemesis Kid's power so that he can defeat more than one opponent at a time. If she doesn't, then Nemesis Kid can take down Stasi and Lazon easily. If she does, then it's two on one and Nemesis Kid loses. I think innate powers are probably faster than external ones so I'll say she and Lazon win that battle... and then Ron-Karr comes back with the ankh.

Stasi, Lazon & Ron-Karr for the win.

2. Team Four: Computo, Satan Girl, and Size Lad vs. Team Five: Calorie Queen, Charma, and Nardo on the Mansion Stage

Hmm. Tough one. Size Lad is no threat to the other team but he is to his own, so Charma charms him into shrinking down his own teammate, Computo - who is then stomped on like a can by Calorie Queen. It's now 3 (4 including Size Lad) against Satan Girl but I don't think even that (especially with this array of powers) will be enough to stop the Kryptonian, who quickly breezes through all of her opponents and punches a way out of the mansion.

Computo, Satan Girl & Size Lad for the win.

Battle Results for Round Four
1. Team One: Spider Girl, Dynamo Boy, and Nemesis Kid
2. Team Four: Computo, Satan Girl, and Size Lad

Final Round
Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl and Computo
vs. Team Two: Dynamo Boy, Nemesis Kid, and Size Lad in...
Doomstadt! We were graciously invited to the Eastern European country of Latveria. The match will be televised throughout this small country and be personally presided over by Dr. Doom. This match is held inside Doomstadt, which is filled with scientific and magical wonders. Each team starts in a separate tower of the castle and must search the castle for the other team in order to defeat them. Then they must go downstairs and choose from one of two boxes. One box contains a Cosmic Cube and the other box contains a portal to another dimension!

Doom wants all the votes in by January 2nd at 10:00 P.M.

Hmm I bet Dynamo Boy knows all about the Doomstadt and whatever toys might be within to help him defeat the others ...

Can he capitalize on this before Computo and Satan Girl take him out ?

methinks not. and with Satan Girl and Computo, Nemesis Kid's power is just going to adapt him so that he can flee.

and Spider Girl can beat up Size Lad, also this might be a good venue for her thieving skills.

---

Maybe Nemesis Kid can turn to Kryptonite to take down Satan Girl while Computo and Dynamo fight but Spider Girl's gonna make short work of Size Lad and then help knock out Nemesis Kid, when Satan Girl's powers return ... Dynamo Boy is tripled teamed.

----

Between Satan Girl and Computo, they open whatever box they choose.

Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl and Computo

Man, Spider Girl gets REALLY lucky with her teammates [Razz]

If the teams started in a small area like an arena, I could see Size Lad shrinking Computo and Nemesis Kid tackling Satan Girl. However, since each team starts in a separate tower... Satan Girl can use her vision powers, and Computo his scientific know-how, to trace the other team.

As for Nemesis Kid, the way I understand it is that he actually has to be attacked first for his power to work. He can't really trigger it by himself. Still, he's a scientist, so he can probably figure out some of the machinery in Doomstadt.

His expertise seems to be in chemistry, though, IIRC, so...

Let's say NK makes some potions and stuff that will help, and Size Lad shrinks them down so they're helpful. Dynamo Boy can supercharge them all, but I see his power as working to boost the range and energy levels, but not actually make powers more effective. So NK will still have the same limitations.

I dunno, Satan Girl + Computo just seem too overwhelming a duo, especially in a battle that involves searching out their opponents.

Team One: Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl and Computo

Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :

As long as Team Four stays together, Nemesis Kid isn't going to be able to do much, and while my money would be on Dynamo Boy to best take advantage of the environment, I don't see them overcoming the combo of Computo and Satan Girl, which is pretty deadly. By the way, Size Lad is still busy trying to figure out if he can use his powers to de-super-fatass himself after last round.

Got to go with Team Four

Posted by Blacula on :

Team One: Spider Girl, Satan Girl and Computo vs. Team Two: Dynamo Boy, Nemesis Kid and Size Lad

Size Lad pulls out his trick from the last round again and shrinks Computo down to Coke-can size. And Dynamo Boy boosts Nemesis Kid's power to enable him to take down more than one opponent - which means Satan Girl and Spider Girl don't have the numbers to defeat him. So...

Dynamo Boy, Nemesis Kid & Size Lad for the win.
