Those are gor-GEUS, Sketch Lad! I especially love that extreme close-up and the details in Drura's 'mask'.

Re: the question posed in the very first post of this thread... mucous or material?
BOTH! One of the diseases a Somathurii creates is Space Silkworm Sinusitis... it's such a difficult virus to master that once accomplished, the disease-caster earns the right to wear the rare secreted material as a badge of honor.
And the mask? Similar to the Saturn symbol worn by Titans. She's been *branded*.

I like the idea that Drura can manipulate certain viruses or conditions that show up on her skin. So I believe that's what's hanging off her arms and what decorates her face. Especially since, in TMK, she no longer had any of that apparent.
Oh, and thanks for the compliments! I love drawing her!

And its ending implies to me she'll likely be in the next part(s) as well. How long is the mini, anyway?

Having just tracked down parts 1, 3 and 4 it says "of eight" on the cover. I have to say Drura looks pretty good in this one.
Not sure whats going on but its a real roller coaster ride.

Kent, its an 8-issue mini-series. Just to be clear, the main story is about the new Spectre and each issue contains an 8 page backstory centered on Dr. 13, of which Drura is a part.

Hey Lash! I was reading one of your posts in another thread, about all the Legion things going on in the DCU (which is such great fun, innit!), and it ended with something along the lines of "Next thing you know, Infectious Lass will turn up in Tales of the Unexpected," which I thought was a joke.
And then I went and read Tales of the Unexpected, and BOOM there she was! I was shocked! Shocked, I tell you, despite your clear warning! WTHIGOH? I love it!

Will the bump in sales for TotU # 4 that is sure to result from Infectious Lass' appearance show DC's PTB that Dru is-- at long last-- ready to headline her own series?!?
