I think you're misreading it. The light green line from Atom'x to the Kid Quantums which indicates their co-membership in the Amazers crosses the darker green line from Brainy to Andromeda, indicating a crush.

I don't think it's clear exactly when the Tenzil-Eyeful Ethel date took place
He also flirted pretty heavily with the prosecutor in the Brek Bannin case, but I'll have to look up her name.

Iresa was definitely Adventure era, never seen again after her only panel.
Tenzil/Eyeful Ethel was indeed vague, but from the visuals he remembers her for, it had to've taken place sometime around v2/v3.
Not only did he and the prosecutor have a 'hidden' flirtation going on, she kissed him good-bye, didn't she? Definitely something fun going on there that we sadly never got to see again.
For Dirk, the SW6 version had yet ANOTHER girl he crushed on! He was shown dating a pink-skinned girl with red hair whom he met feeding food to the poor (circa Legionnaires #9/10). She was a little bit of a spitfire, even attacking an SP officer over him in what seemed like a stalker-obsession. Keiki also showed up at Legionnaires' HQ telling Dirk she got a death threat scrolled on a tabloid of them kissing. All signs likely pointed toward Ms. Pink (whom I don't recall if she was ever named; if she was it was only mentioned once or twice). The storyline of this stalker never blossomed, as the next issue kicked off the End of an Era event.
