New lyrics

The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle

More of the lyrics

The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears

What? no guesses. here a hint. It was from a 60's - 70's warmedy (that's a warm hearted comedy like the Andy Griffith Show)

Well since no one else has take a guess and we just saw an episode of this while channel surfing the other night.

The show was 'Here Come the Brides' and the theme was sung by Bobby Sherman.

That is correct LL. Here are the full lyrics.

The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When it's time to leave your home and your loved ones
It's the hardest thing a boy can ever do
And you pray that you will find
Someone warm and sweet and kind
But you're not sure what's waiting there for you
The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When you find your own true love
You will know it
By her smile, by the look in her eye
Scent of pine trees in the air
Never knew a day so fair
It makes you feel so good
That you could cry
The bluest skies you've ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle

Its funny. Caroline kept saying the show was called Seattle and I kept telling her it was Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Then when we saw the end credits it was a "d'oh!" moment for both of us. [Smile]

So up on your feet. Up on your feet
Somewhere there’s music playing.

It was based on "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"

As for your theme song -

Don't you worry none
We'll just take it like it comes

One Day at a Time

Bosom Buddies?

That's a Billy Joel tune, but I can't remember the title...

CJ,

That is the correct show. It was also the first time we saw Tom Hanks (well most of us. I checked and he was in an earlier horror movie). The song title is "My Life".

I wish I'd picked something else; this has been stuck in my head for the past three days! [Smash]
