Deddy, if I'm recalling right, Magma was with the New Mutants in the 80s. Not an original, but soon after. Unless I'm confusing her with someone else. She might have been from an isolated Roman Empire colony deep in the Amazon jungle (Claremont really came up with a head-scratcher there) which hadn't changed one iota in 18ish centuries since its founding.

My favorite characters of Marvel are Jean Grey, Enchantress, Crystal, Sersi, Magma, and Siryn, and I 've got a bit of soft spot for Dazzler. The others are ok. While I don't hate her, Emma Frost is not my favorite so the winner is...
