For real, it was-- if you examine it (and not even too closely)-- a VERY serious, dark issue. I have a weird feeling all or most of the Great Lakes Avengers we know will be dead by the end of this mini. I certainly do think it will end somehow with Mr. I blowing his brains out and entering his *final* death (as depicted in issue # 1)... but then again, he IS the narrator, so maybe not. Anyhoo, Dan Slott is a jeenyus who should be recognized & celebrated for... well, just for being so awesome. Gosh, didn't see THAT coming." BWAhaha! Couldn't help but feel sorry for Grasshopper... that sucked for him. I love how the story is being told in flashback around the scenes of what is apparently the GLA's final battle. Squirrel Girl & Monkey Joe continue to rewl. Living Lightning's gay?!? POPPING HOTTIES! And another GLA member dies next issue. Okay... since Flatman, Ashley and Mr. Immortal have all been depicted at the "final battle"... that means either Doorman or... *CHOKE!!* Squirrel Girl are next to die. NOOOOoooooOOOOOOoooo! I really *DO* care. Who wouldda thunk it? And am apparently the only one here who did. You guys, like, totally missed OUT. Flaman-- NAKED!! First appearance of Tippy-Toe!! The most unique way of deafeating a foe I have **EVER** seen!!!! As I speculated, Leather Boy DID make a return appearance-- the bastard! And as I speculated, this WAS the final battle for the GLA. (But maybe not fo the GL... oh, just BUY it and see)! I am glad this ended up being lighter-hearted than I was beginning to suspect it would be. I should have trusted Dan Slott! Grasshopper died like 3 seconds after joining the GLA in issue # 2. Monkey Joe died in issue # 3... *choke!* murdered by that bastard Leather Boy. Maelstrom was defeated when Mr. I convinced him to go along with him in a double suicide. Of couse, Mr. I got MUCH better...
