Her husband, Ernest "Little Son Joe" Lawler wrote this tune: one of her best-known. He also accompanies her here. Also, here's "Caught Me Wrong Again," one of my personal faves. My problem with her is that for someone sold to the public as Teh White Soul Singer of Her Generation, she sounds more to me like Cher than any soul sister. The unstoppable Tina Turner, with Goldeneye Sheryl Crow, Tomorrow Never Dies Shirley Manson, The World is Not Enough And these aren't even the best songs by these three, just those they did for the franchise! And for something non-Bond-related; Sonique's got quite the voice.
