Remember that for many years, it was common to suggest that "DC" stood for "Deceptive Covers." Save your eyesight and blood pressure, amigos, by avoiding reading too much into it.

a busy cover but nice. I think like a lot of things this is a bit of a "spoiler tease" it may have some or no relevance to the story.
Interesting that clone el is center stage and seems to be torn between the 20th and 31st Century. Is that a metaphor for anything?

Maybe that's why he's suddenly bulkier than he was in Young Justice. Teenage Kal is stuck inside him

Mystery lad: i think that next to KK is a version of Mano (the Sprouse version?); and left of Kid Q. is the current "serial killer" Sarya the Empress.

Yeah, I think you're right, GN. I'm seeing various costumes on Tharok, Mano, and Persuader, so I'm guessing that's the new Empress, before she got all greenified. But she should be a brunette shouldn't she?
Crap. I was hoping it was Lilith or Mysa in a new costume.

It looks like everything is current continuity, but I'm very excited to see what changes must be in store...especially with the Sayra-version Emerald Empress and postboot-Empress in the same shot. Curious, the legion of Fatal Five members the heroes seem to be up against. I can't wait for the story on this one.

Poor Triad's being blasted by Mano on the lower left Ferro's in trouble and so is Gates No Jo? uh, oh No Dreamer? Double uh, oh Validus (upper right) is holding someone in his right hand. Hopefully that's really Lyle below Violet's right arm. What's that green lizard thingy below Superboy's left armpit?
October and November will be AGONIZING.
