I'm not sure if the story is supposed to take place in the current DC universe or not. Regardless, it isn't something I wanted to read. The sad part is that I was enjoying the heck out of this mini right up until the death scene.

I'm with Jerry on that story. For someone as 'modern' and 'cool' as Kevin Smith, he sure does like to kill / maim / threaten to rape comic book women.

I'm a Kevin Smith fan from way back! I used to go to my first girlfriends house on the premise of watching Mallrats just to make out when her parents were upstairs. So I like Smith. I just think a lot of his comic book writing is pretty sucktacular. About 65% of it.
Sometimes he's actually quite good though (Green Arrow, for instance).
