I don't think there's been an ABBA cover yet, has there?

Here. Let me fix that.

I meant on this thread, profh. [Poke Joke]

Besides, "amazing" is not a synonym for "appalling." Usually.

I knew someone at work who get VERY OFFENDED when I put on some Chipmunks music years back. (what made it "worse" was, it was Christmastime!)

Ross Jr.'s early albums were quite good, I think (as a fan of his father's work since the early 60's). Of course, that's me...

Simon & Garfunkel started out playing gospel covers, folk-style. So here's Aretha Franklin taking one of their later hits back to/for gospel.

She does a rare turn on the keyboard, too.

As pups, my pals and I would amuse ourselves by "borrowing" our older sisters' records by the Osmonds and their ilk-- and playing them on the 78 rpm setting.

So would that count as "DIY" Chipmunks?

(Jimmy Osmond's cover of "Tweedlee Dee" was particularly awesome after undergoing this treatment.) [Razz]

Oh, yeah. So sweet I almost cried.

Eighties California Pop goes to London, but leaves its heart in New Orleans!

Ryan Adams and Beth Orton do unspeakable things to The Rolling Stones.

[LOL]

(Not to be played at a party, unless you want all the guests to pack up and go home without being told to...)

Q. What's more nerdy than the Golden Arm Trio's cover of the music from Star Wars?

A. Nothing. Absolutely Nothing.

(WARNING:If you cringe at the mere mention of the word "Theremin" or the phrase "free jazz," this is not the cover you've been looking for. You could at least skip to 5:05, where the Cantina Theme begins, though. That's cute and bouncy, kinda'...)

Click Here For A SpoilerUnless it's their cover of the music from Star Trek.

Todd, Todd, Todd...

I was fortunate to see him perform live in a small club in the midwest in the early 90s. Such an odd and interesting musician. Thanks for sharing FL!
