Thanks, folks. Glad you like my rendition of Cos. To tell the truth, I've always preferred the Levitz/Lightle days to almost any other period in Legion history (I thought the LSV story arc was just fantastic). But maybe you folks can help me out with something. I'm having trouble with deciding what look to give Wildfire when the time comes to render him. Should I use the familiar face-masked ERG suit version, the "Firestorm" version just after he was transformed by Quislet, or his look just prior to the Magic Wars? What do you think?

I vote for the "classic" Wildfire look, with the mirrored faceplate and orange and red costume. Whether you do the Cockrum detailing or the Giffen detailing is up to you....
(Naturally, it'd be cool to see a whole Wildfire retrospective, but I don't want to scare you away

You know, my vote is 'none of the above'. The current Wildfire (Coipel design) looks as good as he ever has, I think that is the look you should use. The Levitz/Lightle era is also my favorite, and I generally agree with you that for your designs those uniforms work best. But in Wildfire's case, his current look is so much better than what we've seen before... I also think that that look will look quite good when combined with the others...By the way, another Legionnaire that in my opinion looks much better now is Apparition.

PS/Are you planning to include the post-boot Legionnaires in your series? It would really be a pitty if you left out Xs, Gates, Sensor, Kid Quantum and Kinetix...

Well, here's the latest in the Legion line. She's arguably the sexiest babe in Legion history with the ability to see the future ... and knock your block off as (little known fact) one of the Legion's most accomplished unarmed combatants (I think only Karate Kid and Timber Wolf were more skilled). She's Nura Nal ... alias Dream Girl.

Yoicks, these are stunning, superbly stylized ... and how did I miss checking this thread? That's what coughing your head off will do for you *sigh*
I'll second the thoughts about this being an adept style for animation. Not so limited in details as to lose the Legionnaires' visual flavor, and not so heavy on line and color as to make it costly to animate. With CGI, the shadows should be possible that you've used here. (They could do that on "Justice League," but they don't bother.)
I'm glad you like the Lightle era, and I hope you'll show Wildfire soon in his more smoothly rendered suit from that period. (Or an outfit gallery, you'd put DrakeB3003 in orbit.) And, also, Wildfire's lady *cough* {g}

For this style, I think the Cockrum costume would work best (Wildfire needs a faceplate and containment suit -- no pseudo-Firestorm! ) because it emphasizes the human form and it might be hard to make some of the details on the Coipel design look good (but of course, you could try the Coipel design and prove me wrong -- I love both designs, so either way I'll be a happy camper).
These are looking super Tri!
(btw, if you get around to Timberwolf, I think the Cockrum, pointy hair design would look awesome )
