Man, this season is going to be intense. Who knows where a lot of that stuff falls in the season.

The music that starts at the 2:54 mark and plays through the end-- the music that sounds like someone put old west, Gregorian chant and FIREFLY in a blender--- I want that music. Who does that? I must download. It's scary and sexy and awesome.
THIS I VOW
I spent wAAAAAAAAy too much time comparing Season 1 to the comic.
I hereby vow to TOTALLY LET GO of the comic for season 2.
I am convinced I would have enjoyed Season 1 even more than I did if I had done this then. So now, I vow: it happens.
I kinda hope all of us will, but I understand those who don't... but for myself, to increase my enjoyment of this, what I consider a MILESTONE in TV... I am letting the comic go when I watch it.

I honestly thought they were gonna tease us with the three that went out and what happened between them in the book, but when Carl walked towards the Deer...I saw it comin.

I thought it was a very good episode but a little slow after the whole herd sequence starting when the group searched for Sophia. I guess they felt they had a lot of character rebuilding and personal arcs to continue and set up. In hindsight, though, last year's opener had a similar vibe to it.

i *WAS* taken by surprise and didn't see it coming, hard as that is to believe.
LOVED the whole "herd" on the highway scene, seeing much of it previously in the great Season 2 clip AMC put out months ago didn't take away from the suspense at all!

Daryl continues to impress. Waiting for him to show up in the book at some point...although I hope he never does.

I have grown to LOVE Daryl...! And I am just DREADING the inevitable return of Merle and him trying to turn Daryl against the group. I hope Merle never comes back!
