Sorry, there was suppose to be more to that...

The Noisettes are a snappy punk band, fronted by a great female vocalist. "Scratch Your Name" is their current single. Check it out if you can.

The reason I brought them up-

I heard their current single and it sounded okay. A friend happened to have a copy, and the more I listened, the more I liked. They're one of those bands that may not stick out at first, but certainly give them time.

This would have to be one of my current favorite fun songs. And you're right, knowjack, he does remind me a bit of Freddy Mercury.

Another song I'm enjoying (and yes, I always am behind times when it comes to "new" songs) is "Unwritten". Don't know the singers name but she has a wonderful voice.

That's the one I thought it was too CJ.

I may be fickle and I still love the Cake songs I just listed but after listening to Chris Cornell's new album last night I have a new favorite.

Track #8. A remake of an 80's song from a popular 80's artist. One you would never expect remade by the likes of Cornell. I'm telling you, this is the definitive version. The song?

Billie Jean. Yes, that one. Just listen to it.

I don't have a favorite right now, but I can't get the damned pie song from the Backyardigans out of my head. When my three-year-old grows up I'm going to retaliate by giving him a cell phone with a Backyardigans ringtone. BWAHAHAHAHA

Oh why can't Pablo Casals Suites for the Violincello displace "Samurai Pie"?!?
