I'm looking for a list and hopefully description of all the different species (races) with the DC Universe. Does anyone know of such a listing or even partial one?

Ok, while reading issues in which White Witch made an appearance, I noticed that her speaking was always drawn with a pink bubble rather than white, how come?
Does anybody have an idea of how her powers work, the most I can find is that she can only prepare a few at a time and that they require spell components as well. Can anyone give me more insight on them?

I think the pink speech bubbles were artistic license used to signify that she'd undergone a change from her former self as her knowledge in the mystic arts grew.
I also think that the way her powers exactly work has always been kept purposely vague by the writers due to the unquantifiable energies that are magic.

Thank You lil'rhino. I later noticed that all the other sorcerers had the same punk speech bubble so I'm thinking your right.
I read additional comics involving White Witch (there really didn't seem to be all that many of them). The only quotes I could find on how the magic works were...
Bless their teachers for their constant reminders that it was an effective all-purpose safeguard worth keeping constantly ready. The others seem to think that magic means the ability to do anything, anytime you need it…would that they had felt the bite of my teacher’s lessons. “
“Your spells will be in proportion to your will, Mysa…and will be mighty only if you master them individually with proper preparation…”
“Attempt a great working without consulting the omens and readying the talismans and you doom yourself. Worse still, commit more than a mere handful of spells to memory at a time and you shall forget them all…research child…each and every time.”
“Wise words, all I’ve learned. But how singularly inappropriate for a moment like this. My powers may be weak, my will soft, but I cannot let these Legionnaires die… not when they fought so hard to save me. There must be something within my power…something.”
And taken from the Galactica Encyclopedia here on Legion World, I found...
The White Witch is a sorceress of extraordinary ability, able to cast spells of great power that affect basic forces of the universe, people and objects. The disciplines required for each spell require different forms of preparation, however, so she cannot use most of her complex spells at will without advance consideration. The White Witch has taken personal combat training courses as a Legionnaire with generally unsatisfactory results. She wears an LSH flight ring, which permits her to fly without the use of her magic.
She also typically stated the name of her spell and seem to know the best spells for what she thought was going to happen in the near future.

Howdy, Im putting Timber Wolf together for the Legion RPG and they claim he has Super-Senses. I don't think I've ever seen them used. I'm working with the original Legion at the moment, rather than a re-boot. Can someone tell me which of the five senses he has and perhaps some references? Please!

There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met.

In the Shooter part of the threeboot, his power was listed as 'prodigious physicality' and all of his senses seemed to be at least somewhat heightened. Nothing like X-Ray vision, but he had keener than normal senses of hearing, sight and scent (and, possibly, taste and touch as well, although we never saw that).
As far as I know, 'classic' Timber Wolf had Spiderman levels of agility / acrobatics / reflexes ability and lower-tier super-strength (enough to flip a car or one-punch an elephant or whatever, but not planet-moving or anything).
Silver Age Timber Wolf shouldn't have heightened senses, claws, regeneration, or be significantly tougher than a tough human, etc.
That's changed, as of the modern day, and the current 'classic' Timber Wolf he seems to have Wolverine-like powers as well, with heightened senses and claws being listed among his powers in his little info-blurbs.
He was also recently shown as being strong enough to rip a shuttle in half, paired with Earth-Man, who was duplicating his powers, and Earth-Man, presumably still using his super-strength, was shown ripping the roof off of a penthouse, but hasn't been shown using acrobatics at all, so it seems possible that his superhuman agility has been replaced for yet more super-strength (or that he's just gotten stronger, and given up on the acrobatics).
Anywho, short answer; Silver Age - no heightened senses.
Shooterboot - all senses heightened to animalistic levels.
Modern Day - *some* heightened senses, with Wolverine-like sense of smell the one shown so far.

Thanks, Set, the player is using a previous write-up of Timber Wolf, but I wanted to update it for him. Thanks for the input, I shall put it to good use.
