So did anyone grab the Spider #1 from Dynamite? It looked really good, but for the life of me I can't find a copy.

no ... for some reason I'm really curious about Secret ... but the first issue was just blood and tortue ... still really curious though. I didn't buy it I just flipped through it and put it back on the shelf. From what I saw, seemed like the plot and story were being kept a 'secret' from the reader as of issue 1.

Yeah, it was well done but it's obvious the majority of the story has not been shown yet. I'll review #2 when I read it to let you know what I think.

I've actually now hit the point where I trust Jonathan Hickman enough to buy what he rights, expecting a nice payoff. (That being said, his other new release, Manhattan Projects, definitely had a lot of WOW factor in the debut issue).

Lots of stuff at the con...including:

The last Clandestine mini series.
A Ghostbusters trade and two of IDW's one shots.
The complete Bart Allen Flash series (well 2 - 13, as I already had issue 1)
One of the missing Jonah Hex issues (only need three more.)
A bunch of other various and sundry comics for 50 cents to a dollar.

Shade #12. FINAL ISSUE!?!? [Eek!]
Wolverine and the X-Men #16.

I've cut the number of books I get in half! I just am not interested in getting things I'm not excited about! But I'm enjoying the ones I do get!

I'm also curtting books constantly. When a new series like Hawkeye comes out, and it's so good it makes me feel better about being alive, I can't help but think "man, why am I bothering with Secret Avengers?"

A 1986 "Conan Saga" Marvel magazine from 1986 from a consignment bin. Black and white. Reprinting some Thomas/Buscema era Conan stories. Cost me $1.99. Nice!
