That particular suite has five beds. Even with a five-person occupancy, the rate is still only $75/night, which isn't dirt cheap, but is quite reasonable for nice urban accommodations.

Well, if you sold all your costumes uniforms on eBay, they would probably fetch a pretty penny!
(By the way, I saw some Hostess Fruit Pies at the store today and immediately thought of you. I almost bought a lemon pie in your honor, but then looked at the nutrition information label and quickly changed my mind...)

The thought of tasty Filipino food is making my mouth water. I wish I still lived within walking distance of Jollibee! I haven't had a Palabok Fiesta in a long time...

Well, I think Morrisoncon is becoming less and less of a possibility for me this year, which means I can instead save up for this next year. Move me to the probable column.

Every... single... last drop of coffee you desire... is on me.
Dave - were you really considering going to Morrisoncon? I have to admit... it did sound intriguing. Kinda pricey and a little bizarre in its concept (similar to Morrison, himself, I guess)... but intriguing.

I was indeed. The airfare broke me in the end though. There were no available flights using my Aeroplan points, and even the cheapest flights put the trip into just too high a range for a two day event, however exclusive it may have been.

It does sound intriguing. If I were reading as many comics (esp his) as I was in the 90s, I'd be considering it myself.

My current work schedule requires me to work weekends, so there is just no way (barring winning the lottery) that I am going to be able to attend. *sniffle*

We are talking a year from now, hopefully you might be able to trade a shift by then, or even have some vacation time available?

Hey Exnihil, do we have a running tally of the definites, the maybes, and can't-afford-its?

among 10 people, that's $37 .50 a night. if we have more than 10 (as we hopefully will), they have other units for rent in the same building.
BTW did some checking up on the apartment Kent found, and there's a $25 per person per night surcharge for every person above 4, so for 10 people it would actually be $525 a night. Now at $53 per person that's still a great deal, but obviously the extra 14 bucks a night adds up quickly and it's not an amount anyone would want to be surprised by, so just posting it here.
Also there's taxes and such, and we need to keep the three-night minimum in mind. I wouldn't go to Chicago for less than three nights, but some of you who can drive there might be considering a shorter trip, so we need to know who's staying for how long.
I'm sorry, the stage manager side of me just decided to come out today. But there is only a year to go, time to start looking at logistics.
