Well, all the regular voters have already signed in, so I'm tempted to close the round now. But I said it wouldn't end until Saturday evening my time / Saturday morning PST, so we should wait... you never know if someone will wanna vote and possibly mess things up

I honestly thought we'd have more returning Titans this round. I guess by now most of us are really rooting for our top faves - or maybe our favorite Titans are just more disparate than I thought. Then again, there's also the whole "strength of the liking" for each character thingie.
No more second chances, folks - once someone goes home, they stay home!

This round ends Monday, around noon PST (Monday evening my time).
The plan is as follows:
Round 8 - down to 8 Round 9 - down to 5 Round 10 - down to 3 Round 11 - final round, vote for one!
House Rules
1) Each round will last about 48 to 72 hours, and will end about the same time every time (morning PST). 2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part. 3) While I don't encourage changing of votes, I won't disallow them either. I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes/changes that come in after that will be ignored. 4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, and that poster wasn't able to correct the error in time, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a character of their choosing. 5. Ties will be broken by looking at the accumulated votes characters earned in previous rounds. 6. Voting rules may change every round, so read carefully before posting!

Re: the fact that only one character came back. I was actually surprised that we even got that many back. Since there are only 8 of us regularly playing this game, all it took to kill a character's chances was for 3 of us to say NO. And it's probably safe to say that each one of those characters was not a super-fave of at least 3 of us.

I guess given how many of us lost major portions of our lists these past two rounds, we'd be chomping at the bit to get some back. But you're right, given the late stage of the game we're probably sticking to just our faves.
Looking back, the votes for the Wild Card round almost exactly mirroed the votes for the two rounds before that, so it shouldn't have been such a big surprise for me.
