After a few months off, the Museum is back open! What better way to kick off a new era of exhibition than with some Legion World fan favorites... MATTER EATER LAD, CALORIE QUEEN AND INFECTIOUS LASS will all share the spotlight in:
"It must have been something I ate!"
We love brand new submissions (stories, poems, prose, novels, paintings, drawings, photomanips, action figures, statues, busts, micros, etchings, etc.) but we certainly want your existing work posted in the galleries too! Come join us all month long starting on the 1st for the shindig!
So, the game runs like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. We start with one fictional character and end with our own Matter-Eater Lad. The links are not limited to fictional characters. In fact the last link to Tenzil should be via a writer or artist that used Matter-Eater Lad.
So, here is an example:
Starting character: Jan Brady
Jan Brady was animated in The Brady Kids which had as a guest star Wonder Woman who was mentor to Donna Troy who was a member of The New Teen Titans which was illustrated by George Perez who also illustrated The Avengers during the Kovac saga which was written by Jim Shooter who also wrote Superboy & the Legion of Superheroes #212 which featured Matter-Eater Lad aka Tenzil Kem.
The connections can be creative (like artist X worked for First comics which also published ____)

Dean, nice MoLA graphic and a PERFECT name for this gallery! Loving your old stuff, the Shandi-as Dru manip is awesome and I forgot about Tenz eating his shirt! Request: Do you still have an old picture of Cal you did with her wearing all powder-blue? Loved that one, haven't seen it in ages, but I always remembered it.

I'm referring to Matter-Eater Lad & the Legion of Super-Heroes, of course. Set in the post-boot universe after the Titans/Legion whiteout, it's the Legion done in the Giffen/Dematteis style by me and EDE!

LEGION WHAT IF.
Now we all know in Taryn's first appearance, she assembled a gang of rejects whose powers matched other members on the team. This, of course, was done to show that using teamwork, even weak girls can beat boys, and weak boys can outsmart tough girls.
But, WHAT IF.....
Taryn had waited 6 issues later and assembled a different team of rejects?
Taryn's no wimp, of course. As Earth Man, we've seen Absorbancy Boy nearly trounce the Legion and destroy the UP. We all know what Drura can do with a wiggle of her finger and few could resist the incredible macking of Quake Kid.
I daresay the outcome would have been MUCH different....

It's great to see the Museum so active again! I think Drura has shone particularly brightly in all of the works.
Kent - really powerful action-shot of Drura. Tenz was in good character and Cal looked unusually calm. The calm before the storm?
Veryvery - Drura looked fine without clothes. It would be a great pin-up shot. Seeing Cal with her floating hair and floating treats just made me wish I could eat all that stuff and just gain strength, not pounds - and have fantastic hair....
Dean - always beautiful ladies, but wow! Drura with bangs!
Lash - a feast for the eyes! You've already got a few pages and panels there for your and EDE's MEL comic - so go for it!
Quis - great idea, I'm personally hopeless with those sorts of games.
Sarcasm Lad - still have to get to your other stories, but you've got Tenzil in peskiest prankster mode in your mistletoe story.

Thanks to Dean for the inspiration, here's my contribution to the cause -
I plan to replace the ghosts with Legion characters as well (Saturn Queen, Styx, Stiletta, and Eyeful Ethel?) just as soon as I have the time and can decide exactly who they will be. I may even create a Calorie Queen version with Legion guys as ghosts.
